I can't really explain why, but I have absolutely no confidence whatsoever that Castro will ever develop into a plus offensive catcher. Maybe it is because he has been out of sight, out of mind, maybe because I don't really believe in anything on this team anymore, or maybe it's because the front office has been a joke for a while. Maybe all of those things...I just pretty much expect Jason to be another blown draft pick. That makes me sad.

The Astros inking Chris Snyder for $6.25M/Yr pretty much tells me that Castro won't be doing squat this year.

You are way off on his contract. Snyder signed for $750,000 for 2012, with only $350,000 guaranteed, with a $4 million mutual option for 2013($500k buyout).

$1.75 million available in bonuses if he hits certain milestones.

Snyder's contract is for $750,000 (+ $500,000 in possible incentives) for this season and a $4,000,000 MUTUAL option for 2013.

Where did you get $6.25 million?

The best Astro player name was Andujar Cedeno who had two great Stros player names in one name.

Sorry, that was his 2011 salary. I have not payed any attention this offseason, so I am in ketchup mode.

ESPN lists it like it is our roster salary which had me wondering WTF we were thinking

    4 Chris Snyder 6,250,000
