What lack of roster space are you talking about? If you think we don't have space, then your taste in b-ball sucks!!

Did you see what we were playing with the last two monthes?

Rafer, Head, Wesley, Bowen, Hayes, Bowen, Deke.

What kind of team is that!!! I'd keep Deke and cut the rest if I could.
Wes is gone. Hayes is gone. Barry is gone. Sura may as well be gone. Deke has one season left, if that. Our 4's can't rebound to save their life and Yao has Osteomyelitis in his big toe and a broken bone in his foot. Don't want to scare folks, but a big guy like Yao with Osteomyelitis in his feet could spell disaster (Remember this). And 82 games is a long time and with China making a hard push for him to hurry and come back could really set him back...................

Who will backup Tmac next season? An if he gets injured again? We have no 3 backup. Bowen?

We need players, preferrably 1st round players. Not undrafted or second round crap.

How else are we gonna get players.

BTW, how many ways can we split up the MLE....

Jared Jefferies is a restricted FA. The only way we can get him is by either trading a player or the 8th pick for him. I get the feeling that the Wizards will hold onto him.

good job attacking my taste in basketball! *thumbs up*

atleast you didnt attack my knowledge in basketball cuz i'm a genius compared to your dumbass

yeah it would be nice if we could cut whoever we want whenever we want.. too bad they would still count against our salary cap.. so that would be pretty pointless..

whether you like it or not jvg is our coach.. for how long we dont know but atleast that is the plan for now.. and if you know anything about jvg, you'd know he has trouble 'developing' one or two rookies, much less four... he'd rather spend his time on veteran players rather than babysit some kids... anyway a back up for tmac is not a high priority right now.. he will playing 35-40 mins a game (atleast we hope) so any filler(bowen included) will do.. we have bigger holes to fill.. we need young athletic non rookies who can hit open shots.. particularly in the sg and pf positions.. 4 rookies from a weak draft as this one is not the solution..

    krnxsnoopy,

When I mentioned Wesley, Barry, Hayes, and Bogan it was because their contracts are all up and they should be gone. That's what I meant by gone................

Last year was the first year we had a rookie since JVG took the helm. Before, we had the oldest team in the league and it showed when we played anyone with some athletecism and the ability to run...His belief or rather, non-belief in rookies has come to bite him in the ass, so to speak. I'm not suggesting we surround Yao and Tmac with rookie starters, but add them for some real depth.

There are good players in the area of the NO picks(12 and 15), but whether they wish to deal them is another story. I think a player like Swift along Chris Paul would be a very tempting trade scenario since they would be giving up very little to get him.

After watching the Spurs and Mavs, I realize our team needs young legs, size, and athletecism if we ever wish to really compete against them. What makes you think that filling the holes we have at the 2 and 4 won't be rookies?

You may think it's alright to have Bowen play the 3 for two or three monthes while Tmac rehabs, but I'd rather watch a rookie with some real ability develop and give us a shot to win the game. Do you honestly think Tmac should be playing 35-40 min. given his back history? This team has proved it can't win without one of our stars, much less both. So, if I wanted to see Bowen play, I'd go to my local park, there's about a dozen there.

Like I mentioned before, how many ways do you want to divide the MLE?

Do you even know our cap situation?

How do you suggest we go about getting these vets who are "young and athletic and can hit the open shot" for the 2 and 4 spots? I haven't read one realistic solution on your idea. Are you calling Bogan and Hayes "young and athletic and can hit the open shot"???

It's sooo easy to call someone a dumbass from your computer ....................

    He failed on all attempts

Can't agree more. This guy is nothing but a destroyer in the locker room under the coaching of JVG.
BTW: In my memory, Spanolis was only a bench player, backup for the Greek veteran Papalokas in 2005 Euro Championships. When he was facing Tony Parker, all he could do was foul, foul and foul. And he was not showing his offensive weapon as well. I don't know if he can develop into the guy we want in just one year. Maybe we can have a try. But don't expect too much.

I;m sure jones would be willing to come home if he is willing to settle for the MLE..he would be a nice addtion and drafting reddick...could we still bring Sapnoulis over or we don't have that much money?

We can't get V-Span over here if we spend the whole MLE on another player.
Just say no to Damon Jones. He can shoot but he can't do much else as a PG.

Sam C. is a urfa & has said he'd like to finish in Houston. He could pass to Yao or T-Mac & then get open. Hopefully he has a year or 2 left.

Yall think JVG and CD could convince Spree to sign for half the MLE. He should know by now that no team will pay him a lot or else he would be playing for some team by know, especially after taking a year off. As much as I hate picking up an ex-knick, he knows JVG's system, he can defend and hit the outside jumper as well drive and rebound. I'm not sure what kind of shape he would be in after taking a season off, but he would be a nice pick up for half the MLE.

I doubt Spree would sign for anything less than the full MLE. I'm really surprised he didn't latch onto some contender midway through the season this past year. I think it's a pride issue more than anything---he thinks he's worth a certain amount and he could care less if he plays again or not, just waiting for somebody to pay up.
