woww..don't know if anyone's seen this, but they've got a site on carlos boozer which gets updated pretty often.

I actually feel sorry for the guy, cos there have been quite a few marquee players who have just bolted their teams for bigger bucks and greener pastures without them getting anything in return. Those other guys did not get blasted by the media/fans as much as Boozer has (although it's understandable why its such big news since apparently he gave his word to Gund).

It's the way he did it that has everyone upset. He broke a verbal agreement.

The funny thing is hat Boozer will probably feel very stupid, the cavs are now a much better team then the Jazz.
on ht eother hand he probably just wanted the money(did he get more money in utah?)

Yes, Boozer got about $30 million more in Utah if I am correct. It was stated that Cleveland was offering $40 million but I believe he ended up getting $68 million in Utah. If I am wrong somebody please correct me.

I think it was a little more in Cleveland, but the Utah deal was better

...what is bad is that the Cavs had him under contract for this season and broke it to enabel them to reward him with more money (based on the verbal agreement) - and soon as the Cavs voided the option on his contract, he signed with Utah.

The Cavs had the chance to match THAT new offer, but it would have cramped their salary cap (and made them unable to re-sign Z and pursue a shooting guard in FA)

I wonder if he likes spending half the year in fun Utah.

    Utah is a happening place.

That place looks so damn unappealing.

First of all, Utah is cold.
Second of all, there is not much diversity.
Third of all, it's home to the Jazz.
Fourth of all, it's home to the Jazz.

im sorry, im sorry, im sorry, don't dig my grave. don't dig my grave.

To be fair, once you get past LeBron, Cleveland's no paradise spot itself.

We'll let karma deal with Boo$er.

Even though he's getting paid more right now, I wonder if he'd have ended up making more money in his career if he stayed in Cleveland. Still very early I know. But, people are already saying he's overpaid now. What will his next contract be like, especially if Utah has another season or two like this? If he stayed on the Lebron bandwagon, everyone would think he was great and the Cavs might have given him a hefty payraise next time it came up.

Great point. Boozer could end up being the poster boy of the "cheaters never win" motto. Oh, wait, Utah already have TWO poster boys. :D

Do you honestly think he went to Utah cause he thought the team would be better than Cleveland?

Well, Utah did almost made the playoffs last year in the west with only one all-star.

Cleveland on the other hand wasn't even close to the east playoffs run, even with LeBron, Big Z, and Boozer.
