Where does it say anything about Portland in that article URL you listed?? All I see is this quote "Carlisle had said recently that he planned to pursue coaching jobs with three teams. The identity of the third team remains unknown."
it has already been stated in "denied" reports that Portland had retracted its restrictions on Mo Cheeks interviewing for Philly once Carlisle became available.
Correct. http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2003/0531/1561530.html Couple that with the fact that 610am here in Houston threw out speculation that the Rockets might be contacting Carlisle. I think we are still a possibility.
I highly doubt it is the Rockets. They've said already that they won't interview new people. I know that could easily be spin, but my gut feeling is that they're busy with Van Gundy.
