I was witness to one of my friends keying a car but never in my life did I think anyone deserved it more than this guy. It was back in 1999. I lived at Jester at UT and there was this one small free parking lot (the A lot) next to the dorm. Well thespots go in the direction of traffic and we were driving around waiting for one. So the lady pulls out and we have our signal on and getting ready to turn when this huge F150 turns the corner backs up the wrong way into the spot blocking the lady from leaving and us from getting the spot. My friend waits and says to the guy that we have been waiting and had our signal on. Guy says, "Too bad, I am sure another spot will show up" and walks away. It is like 10 minutes before 7 and the wonderful Jester cafeteria was going to close and it was chicken fried chicken night so we we pissed. We find a spot after 7 so we knew it meant no dinner. So my friend walks up to this truck and carves "You are a b****" across the guys door. I was in shock he would even do it. But I didn't stop him. They guy was a jerk and yes... he deserved it. Here is to you Jason.

Here is my story from yesterday, occurred October 21st
    :)
I was in a rush to get to work the other day, I raced my Cadillac into the lot and parked quickly, jumped out and almost jogged up to the doors.. they specifically told me to not be late again. When I looked back after getting to the entrance doors to work, I saw that my caddy was over the yellow line and was taking up two spaces.. so standing at the door of my job which I was about to be late I had a decision to make. I turned around, went to my car, started it, re-parked it, turned back around and walked back to the complex and into work.

That evening we were very busy, I looked outside into the parking lot and sure enough there was two cars parked next to me.. The b****ing I got from my manager for being late was worth it to know I wasn't a b**** for taking two spots.

It might take a while for the PD/wrecker service to come up from the RGV.

I was always paranoid when I had my 350Z that some jackass was going to key it out of jealousy. That was one of the reasons why I only had it for little over a year.

My mother-in-law had polio growing up and has been in a wheelchair since she was 2. She can drive but has to use a handset. One day she parked in a handicap spot and when she came back out with my wife (this happened before we got married), her brand new Maxima had been keyed on the sides. People who do that **** are absolute sacks of ****s. Double parking is bad too but that can't compare to the assmunches that key other people's vehicles.

I never double park because I think you are just asking for someone to key your car.. One of my friends bought a very nice car this year and thought he needed to double park to keep it looking nice, but that didn't last long after he had to get his car repainted..

My project car just got key so bad a few months ago it actually dented the metal in.. Some people are just jealous and it's really sad..

Keying a car that is parked in two spaces is just poetic justice to me. The whole point of parking in two spaces is to avoid the off chance of dings, so once the odds of getting keyed become higher than the odds of getting a ding parking normally, then the asshats won't do it anymore. A swift kick to the door can probably get the same message across, or if there is room pull up next to them and ding them with your door on purpose.

When someone parks obnoxiously, I like to pull my car as close to their driver's side door as I possibly can, leaving less than an inch between my junky car and their super-duper-important vehicle.

How bout a swift kick to the FACE? Which is what should come to a person keying a defenseless object such as a car. B*tch move by p*ssies.

I don't double-park. I don't even have a car anymore for that matter (sold it). But like I said I got my car keyed for NO REASON. Other than jealously. I did not provoke anybody. So for people to say keying a car is justified is just ridiculous to me.

Trust me, more people get their car keyed for no reason than because they double-parked.

People are inconvenienced enough by double parkers that I can certainly understand not waiting around to talk to them. The car is not defenseless either, the driver was perfectly capable of proactively defending the car by not double parking. Keying a car for no reason is wrong. Keying a car for parking douchbaggery is justified.

Every since I have gotten my new cars I always park far away or if im anywhere that i have a view of my car i park it like that. When i go to the gym the parking lot is big enough that i park far enough away that there isn't a car in site, but i don't think i have ever double parked.

It's a pain in the ass to see your car keyed or hit (had both happen to me in downtown) but it's a part of life and the idiots we have on the street.

Falcon : the stickers you talk about would be a nice idea if we had some. I know the security guards in office buildings and certain places have the ones that they stick on your driver side window if you park somewhere for a long time or in the wrong spot (my girlfriend has had a few) I'm sure you can find those online and just stick them to anyone that is double parked...would be funny as hell and if there were enough of them going around im sure you'd make the news lol
