Hey Guys, I really thinking about the offseason and what changes will happen. I think were guaranteed at least one. Now I dont know what that will be . Possibly, coaching change, trades, FA agent pickups or whatever! I've grown to like the offseason more and more. Its kinda like a little kid hating oatmeal and their parents force feeding them the disgusting pile of crap.I feel this with the rockets but hey I eventually developed a taste for it.lol

The first trade that is available cap wise is
    HOU: Cuttino Mobley/SG
    Eddie Griffin/PF
    Bostjan Nachbar/SF
(the rights to a fourth player)

    MEMPHIS: Shane Battier/SF-SG
    Wesley Person/SG
    (1st rounder)
Analyses: Its pretty sound. With all the mock trades I read on fan boards most of them show the other team getting nothing in return With this one both come away with something. If we re-sign Posey ,which we should, Battier and him would be all hustle. And all our needs for a three point shooter would be partly solved. Both Battier and Person are better than what we have now with exception to Rice. Memphis would develop Griffin more so than we have. I'm sure West wouldn't pass up on a potential star whose raw (he hasnt in the past.) And if we could get our pick back from them thats great,we could draft a natural pg.

    a second trade possibility.....

    DENVER: Marcus Camby/PF-C

    HOUSTON: Maurice Taylor/PF

Analyses: This is interesting. you'de exchange a scoring type of PF for a more defense and rebound type.Camby has been injured but not water soaked as some would believed. His natural position is really PF. Of course,we couldnt lose that much inside scoring since Camby really is a better rebounder. Its food for thought.A healthy Camby with yao in the starting lineup would be very fun to watch. And again if we could get their lotto pick that would be great. Then again we'de have to part with something we wouldnt want to part with.

    Here a third trade...

    MILWAUKEE:Tim Thomas/SF-SG

    HOUSTON:Eddie Griffin/PF
    Glen Rice/SF

Analyses:Shot in the dark.we all know Tim was really fed up with losing his starting spot when Gary Payton came to town. He went as so far as to tell the media to ask him if he's happy after the playoffs. George Karl has a low tolerence for players who voice against what he's doing. Only Sam Cassel remains of the three headed monster for proof. Cap Space is the main draw.

Anyways all of these are feasible within all the cap rules.
Tell me what you guys think.

    heh...just kidding.

Anyways. Mobley and Griffin and a 1st rounder for Pau Gasol and Wesley Person. Or Mobley and Rice and a 2nd rounder for Shane Battier and Jason Williams.

Your trade...we would be giving up a lot. But I really like Battier and Person. They are both great shooters and Battier really hustles. He looks old though...and he would be free after the season. Person would be too. But our shooting guard and small forward positions would be much taller and stronger. With Posey.

But then all we would have at power forward would be Mo Taylor. Unless we like win the lottery and get Milivic or Carmelo Anthony. ;)

I like Marcus Camby. He and Yao would be good. Yao and Pau Gasol would be even better. But Camby is a good rebounder...his shooting is horrible though. And he is always injured. I'd rather get Juwan Howard or Antonio Davis or Kurt Thomas or Brian Grant.

For just Tim Thomas...that would be all right actually. Thomas is a great three point shooter. He'd be better than Person and Battier. But...we would be losing Glen Rice and Eddie Griffin. Yeah...then Bostjan and Terence would get to play. And Thomas could play power forward I guess.

I think all would work salary wise.

Hey guys here are some more that are feasible. Are they worth it? I dunno. But we definitely need something.I dispute the reasoning that says we have enough talent, I think the problems we have now are the same we had three or four years ago. Old habits die hard. And in my mind Les needs to make money next season for sure. Time is a thing he doesnt have after four years of rebuilding. If you honestly think we do then why did we ever make the trade for Barkley. To get an outlook on how things are right now and what the big wigs are thinking you have to look at the decisions they made in the past. ANyways, here are some more trade possibilities.

    Here's Trade no.1

    HOUSTON: Eddie Griffin/PF
    Cuttino Mobley/SG

    TORONTO: Jerome Williams/PF
    Morris Peterson/SF

Analyses: We wouldnt be losing that much offense with Eddie and Jerome trade, but we'de definitely be gaining some reboundind skill. Its possible but it al depends on if toronto gets a Top 3 pick by chance and they get Lebron or Carmelo. And reminder Toronto almost stole Cuttino from us in FA so its not like he either parties wouldnt want each other.

    ANd trade no.2
    HOUSTON: Cuttino Mobley/SG

    LA Clippers:Corey Maggette/SG

Analyses:This would be a sign and trade type of deal.
Its possible. But you wouldnt really be giving yourself a whole lot of improvement. I do think thought Corey would be more containable if we decide to run an organize offense. if you remember he played for Coach K in college. So I bet he could play in a more organized offense.

ANyways here are some more trade possibilies. they wont greatly increase our team but they're possible. My fave is the Toronto one.
Let me know what you guys think....

    Dear Rudy T,

The above trade scenarios are hideous. Please, dont just make trades for the sake of making trades. Make sure it is well thought out. Like trading Richard jefferson for eddie griffin. bad trade. Id rather see no trades, than a bad trade.

    thanks Rudy for the memories,
