A little too muscular for me, but damn those hands look huge. Almost big enough to give me a "hand of the job" [minus the "of the"]
btw, since someone posted earlier, have yall seen Seattle Storm's lineup? they have Bird/Jackson/Cash/Swoopes/Griffith 3 MVPs, and all of them have been on a All WNBA team in every year the past 10 years, that freaking crazy back to Candace, isn't she Anthony Parker's sister?
Ok, this is going to give me an opportunity to go on a rant I've wanted to post about for a while. has anyone seen these new WNBA commercials where they have a player recite all of these stereotypes (truths) of WNBA/women's sports in general. The screen then goes black and text pops up that says "She wouldn't say that." Then the next screen says "Would you?" THESE COMMERCIALS MAKE ME WANT TO TAKE MY OWN LIFE THEY ARE SO STUPID!!!!!! YES, I WOULD SAY THAT!!!!!!!!! I SAY IT ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SCREAM AT MY TV "YES, I DO SAY THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" EVERY TIME THE COMMERCIAL COMES ON. Who the **** thought these commercials were clever and a good idea? That person should lose their job these commercials are so r****ded.
Losing Swoopes to free agency, in-effective free agent signings, and another losing season should be enough to end the Karleen Thompson experiment in Houston. (Not that Swoopes is not culpable in her departure.) By the way, LA also got Milton back.
University Blue, Speaking of the Comets, what is the answer for them at this point? Getting lucky in the draft or free agency? A different coach than Thompson? I'd like to think that team dominance is somewhat cyclical and that Houston's turn will be there again at some point, but I look at the Sparks and it seems like they simply re-load or fall into a dominant player like Candace Parker. Is there any hope in the next few years for them? Thoughts?
Well, Coach Thompson has already proclaimed the Rutgers rookie, Ajavon, can potentially be the next Swoopes. I'm not sure that is a fair comparison, considering they play different positions and attack the basket differently. Snow and Lyttle have been minor disappointments. If Seattle can trade for Cash, Detroit for Smith, and LA for Milton. That tells me there are GMs in the league who are poor talent evaluators. Unfortunately, that includes Houston's GMs (past and present). If by the middle of the season and it looks like Houston will not be competing for a playoff position, they should consider packaging Johnson, Dixon, and anyone outside of Thompson, Ajavon, and Snow to a contender for high first round draft picks or a bottom dweller in a 2- or 3-for-1 "talent" swap.
Yeah I posted a comment on a youtube video of one of those saying how ridiculous it was because all those "stereotypes" are true.
