Let the record show that I've been unemployed for the last month. But, I just got a job at a nice restaurant. E-mail me and I'll wait on you, just be very careful and check the food. Very careful. :D

This letter was actually written during the Vietnam War. All references pertaining to the Vietnam War in the letter were removed to fit the recent tragic event. Also the guy that wrote the letter died in the mid 80's. Just FYI

Recently Jeff and I had some dialogue where I was lamenting the lack of support from the rest of the world for any action we take, desipte the fact that we've defended and rebuilt their nations. I don't want them to kiss our butts...but this article goes a long way towards the appreciation I'm talking about. I really enjoyed reading this.

Even funnier though were some comments by a journalist recently where he basically said that it's ironic that the nations that raped and plundered the world when they were at the height of their power would now second-guess the US at every turn given that we're at the height of power in the world today. Interesting.
