Yes we can but we still have to pay the guy. Considering we signed him to a 3 year deal Les is not going to be happy if we have to pay another Matt Maloney.

According to Ch 2 earlier, JVG said Ward would likely have knee surgery of some sort. They really didn't go into any details.

If he's out for the season there's the Disabled Player Exception and an open roster spot?

If Ward was a horse he would have been put down already.

Do we have enough fans in the stands to wave Ward?

JVG would never let it happen. I know this sounds cruel but Ward should retire.

Even if we did, he would still count against the cap.

sure we can, but it would have been much easier to just watch him play last season and not have offered him anything more than a one year deal......

i called on him being the worst signing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he's old and slow....and was over-rated when he was younger.

but no...most guys in here were saying...we need his on court leadership and smart decision making:rolleyes:

hey - in his day the guy could knock down 3s and he is not THAT old... the only problem is (and JVG and the rest of the Rockets staff should have remember this) Ward played D1 college football - that is a very demanding sport and wears out the body faster... if he only played bball, he might still be a good PG - but the body breaks down playing all those sports
