Ok, I have this problem with my computer. I reformatted it and started loading all of my programs in again. I put in one disc, left to go see Kill Bill Vol 2 (good movie by the way) and came back to get on the internet and this pops up:
    [
    ERROR

    A runtime error has occurred.
    Do you wish to debug?

    Line:86
Error: 'adsNPopup' is null or not an object.
    ]

Now this happens when I get back and it wasn't doing that b/f. I have a Norton Anti virus that is updated and SPYHUNTER which blocks all popups. Since it says popup in the script, I scanned and deleted anything that spyhunter found and it still does this. Thing is, if I don't click debug, it just goes away and comes back another random time when I go to a website.

So, if anyone can help out with that, lemme know please.

Also, I have this problem with my mouse that it won't let me click on links connecting to other websites. A hypothetical would be that I'm searching clutchfans and someone posts a link to some hot chick pic or to some computer website; well I can't click on it. To go to that page, I have to right click on the link and copy and then paste. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please inform.

To me it looks like a Javascript error, I would try updating MS IE.

    Quick Questions:
    What Operating System (W98, XP)?

What does the title of the popup window say?

Does it only happen in internet explorer?

    Operating System: XP

I only use internet explorer, so yeah, it just occurs there

The title of the popup window just says ERROR on the top. I guess the way I have my color scheme, it's a bold blue strip at the top and the rest of the box is grey.

    Hope that helps.

When you click debug, what program does it take you to?

When I click ok to debug, this is what is said, from top to bottom:

    Just-In-Time-Debugging

    Please Select a debugger.

    Possible debuggers:
New Instance of Microsoft Script Editor

[check box] Set the currently selected debugger as the default.

Do you want to debug using the selected debugger?

    YES NO

When I click yes I get this:
    Just-In-Time-Debugging

An exception 'Runtime Error' has occurred in script.

However, no debuggers are registered that can debug this exception. Unable to JIT debug.

the error is probably with "spyhunter". If it's supposed to block all popups, it probably enters some javascript into every website that you visit so that no popups can appear. Try turning off spyhunter and see if the problem still happens...

This is a good answer. I had a problem a long time ago and it was due to java script that gets inserted into every web page.

Yeah, I'd get rid of Spyhunter (which is not a great spyware program), and use all of these:

    <a href="http://www.safer-networking.org/">Spybot Search and Destroy</a>
    <a href="http://www.lavasoftusa.com/">Adaware</a>
    <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/">Mozilla Firefox</a>

Use <b>both</b> Spybot and Adaware to get rid of spyware on your machine, and use Mozilla Firefox as your web browser. It blocks popups, doesn't let sites install spyware, and has a lot of great features.

That is definitely an IE error. It could be a flaw in IE which can be corrected with Windows Update (or by using another browser like Firefox), a flaw in the web site, or Spyhunter blocking a pop-up.

I understand what ya'll are saying, but b/f I reformatted my hard drive, I had spyhunter on it and it never did that. Would you think that reinstalling windows might fix it?

When you reinstalled, did you go to Windows Update and get all the patches?

i have a problem, not related to this but didn't want to start a new thread.

Is there a way to remove a program completely so that i can redownload it and get another 15 day trial? I have removed the software from the registry and from the "My Programs" list once i unistalled the software.

The reason i ask is because i downloaded Sound Forge not too long ago and have been trying to improve many of my live songs that are of such poor quality they are hard to listen to. My trial is set to expire and i do not have 400 dollars to purchase the full program. I just want to finish with these songs.

Any help someone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

you have to track down where the secret registry settings are and remove them.

it is possible...but risky to be futzin around with the registry if you dont know what you are doing.
besides, a lot of the programmers hide the keys so that you cant do what you want to do.

it might be easier to find a crack for it...but I wouldnt recommend that either.

Hypothetically, you could easily get a full, non-trial version of Sound Forge if you hypothetically downloaded a BitTorrent program like ABC , and then hypothetically went to Suprnova.org, hypothetically clicked on the "Apps" link, then the "Windows" link on the following page, and hypothetically scrolled through that list until you found a link for a copy of Sound Forge and clicked on it...then hypothetically, your hypothetical BitTorrent program would automatically start downloading that program and you could then use the serial that comes with it to register it and so forth. I'm just hypothesizing though.

But if you just want to keep downloading the trial over and over, you'll have to delete it all out of your registry. Just go to "Start --> Run" and type in "regedit". Then, in that window, click "Edit --> Find" and type in "Sound Forge." Whatever it comes up with, you can probably delete. So delete the file that comes up in the field on the right, and press F3. This will search some more for "Sound Forge." Delete what that finds too. Hit F3 again and delete again...that is, if it comes up with anything else in the registry that contains "Sound Forge." Keep doing this until it says something to the extent of "I can't find anything else that says 'Sound Forge' in the registry...you've deleted it all." But you gotta be careful when screwing with the registry. Just don't delete anything that looks blatantly important.

Ok, I want to thank everyone for their help in my little debugging problem. Rockets 2K, I did the the disable script and it appears to work. I also got mozilla and am in the process of getting used to it.

Not to seem ungrateful, but could ya'lll go back to my original post and give me some advice on my mouse problem? It's really frustrating having to copy and paste the website address everytime.

does the mouse thing happen in Mozilla too?

are you using the regular bloated Mozilla? or are you using Mozilla FireFox?

if your using regular Mozilla, I suggest you ditch it and get FireFox

I have a question. Does anyone know why that when I start my XP system, my Windows32 file pops open? I have done virus scans and all and it still happens. Any info would really help. Thanks
