First, if you didn't hide it, there wouldn't be a problem. Second, if she didn't go snooping, there wouldn't be a problem. The problem is that you feel the need to hide it and she feels the need to go looking for it. She shouldn't be invading your privacy, but you shouldn't be afraid to tell her either. Trust me, and this comes from someone who has experienced it first hand, you have to be completely honest with your partner. If you aren't this is the kind of crap you deal with. If they cannot accept you completely for who you are (assuming you aren't doing something destructive to you and/or the relationship - infideltiy, crime, addiction, etc), than it is the wrong relationship.
Let me just say that you are not the first guy who has this happen to him, and you won't be the last... best is probably to play it cool and pretend that you don't care/find it somewhat funny yourself...just laugh it off.
Yeah, the dumping comment was really just me overreacting. It's just that I'm an extremely private person and one of the major reasons I left home was because I couldn't stand my mother snooping around my room - now I have to put up with it from my girlfriend?! Yeah I know, get used to it. Oy.

I think you have to hide stuff from your wife that you wouldn't want the public to know. There's no need for her to know everything. Just like there is no need for your children to know everything. There's no telling when a woman could turn on you. Let's say she loved you like no other. She could still go insane. My ex girlfriend found my porno collection one time and deleted it while I was sleeping. When I woke up, she had just got done deleting my Asian Teens subfolder.
