A Bullritos restaurant opened up across the street from my house so we thought we'd give it a try, and I was impressed. It's so much better than Chipotle. Chipotle is so overrated it's not even funny.
$5.99 burrito $1.79 drink (I could be off a bit) $8.42 total I thought it was a little expensive, it just doesn't seem like I pay quite that much when I go to Freebirds, but maybe I'm wrong. In my opinion.... Freebirds>>>>>>Mission>>Bullritos>>>>>>>Chipotle I work right across from the one on Weslayan if anyone wants to meet for lunch and talk Rockets! Maybe that BW3 would be a good place for some of us to get together for a game as well. Pugs
Bullrito = Burrito with bull testicle meat Sorry...that is what I thought when I read the thread title. After all, a bull is an intact adult male. Let's just say I wouldn't call it that. lol.
I still have never tried Mission Burrito. I enjoy Freebirds and Chipotle for different reasons, I love the fresh ingredients at Chipotle and the chips and guac are great... but Freebirds does have a much larger variety of things to put on the said Burritos, but I don't really find their burritos to be especially tasty by any means. This 99 cent Margarita thing sounds great though.
Went today, and I have to say it was rather subpar. I asked for the hot salsa and they forgot to put it on there, the rice tasted quite mushy, the meat was however pretty good. Didn't really think the chips were anything special. Basically its like Which-Wich meets Chipotle. I still prefer the great taste of Chipotle, but the 99 cent margarita was a good add.
Moes your thoughts on Chipotle/Freebirds align with mine (never had Mission either). I like them both for surprisingly different reasons. I hopped back in this thread because I just stumbled upon the Bullritos by where I work, I guess it isn't open yet. I was excited. And you deflated my enthusiasm kind of... I will still try it. I guess.
WHOA. Weren't you the BBS's Vegan spokesman? Or are you and finals in a heated disagreement...? Or what...? I'm confused!
I have never been a claimed to be a vegan, I have no idea what you are speaking about. I did briefly try pesco-vegetarianism (no meat except fish) for a period of 4 months, but I have since gone back to eating meat. She (fb) is a vegetarian and a vegan by convenience, usually lasts for about 3 days and then she's gobbling down the cheesiest thing she can find, but nonetheless has stuck to her vegetarian creed for over a year now.
YOU KNOW what I'm talkin' about... you want a burger... you want it so bad... so juicy... so tender... so meaty... so... F*, I'm hungry. Darn it. I forgot about the "only fish" thing. Sorry.
Do you even understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian? I'm surprised at how many people do not.
Was very impressed with this place. Absolutely love the option of spanish rice and queso. 1. Bullritos 2. Chipotle 3. Freebirds I've never tried Mission Burrito.
My opinions (so far) on giant burritos in Houston: Freebirds is, without a doubt, the best in town. A distant second is Bouray's (downtown). Chipotle and Mission don't even rank - they are absolute crap. now... I haven't tried Bullrito's, so I can't speak about how they rank yet. The fact that they don't carry a cayenne pepper tortilla goes against them already. But the fact that they have spanish rice and refried beans is promising. I am interested to try them. I will do so soon and will post back.
Some Bullritos rep came into the office in Sugar Land. Free Bullrito next week. Way too excited about it.
