He's talking about Aaron Brooks here. I love how AB is getting more of the spotlight now that the Rockets are in the second round. People will stop seeing our team as an overachieving two man team and finally understand the reason why we're good: we have good players. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...vLYF?slug=ap-rockets-lakers&prov=ap&type=lgns On a sidenote, I like how they spun Kobe's 2-hit elbow and knee combo on Shane as "Houston’s Shane Battier got into a minor shoving match with Bryant while chasing a loose ball." Yeah, right.
AB runs a little too fast and is too explosive for my taste. Please trade him and put in Lowry. I don't know what the coach is thinking.
Hearing something that must be a huge confidence boost for Aaron. Let's hope he comes out aggressive tonight and minimizes the turnovers.
AB will exploit D. Fisher this whole series. He's to quick and his moves are to smooth for Fisher to keep up. I'm guessing you'll see more of Jordan Farmar on the floor.
Brooks can be a better Tony Parker, BUT its gonna take time. We need to be patient with him. He's probably a little confused about what to do at times and that just comes with the inexperience. Let's stop worrying and start believing people!!
LOL I didn't realize there were so many anti-Brooks threads. I just started this one because it's great to see our young players get some recognition. Next up, after getting dunked on by Landry, Gasol will be heard commenting on Landry's 'Amare-like leaping ability'.
Interesting. I mean, it's not like Brooks lit up Fisher during the regular season against the Lakers. Let's hope Brooks continues to shine but for as much as I like Brooks, i'm not holding my breath.
Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. WOAH. (In the style of Peter Griffin). Better than Tony Parker? You realize TP got votes for MVP this year, don't you? Not saying AB doesn't have the ability to be a superb player, MAYBE an All-Star, but come on, Tony Parker?
The only problem Brooks has had is that he's inconsistent. THAT IS TO BE EXPECTED. It's really his rookie season, and Tony Parker used to be extremely inconsistent and make tons of mistakes. I always try to never be too hard on Brooks but when he's having a bad game it usually cost us, but that is what we have to live with.
He COULD be. Parker isn't that great. He's a very very good PG but I don't call 18-20 pts 6-7 assists monumental. Brooks averaged 13 and 4 in the games he started and I think we all agree he has a lot of room to improve. He's averaging 16 and 4 in the playoffs. In Parker's second year as a starter he averaged 15.5 pts and 5.3 assists. I would expect that out of Brooks next year.
I think we're going to see Fisher play no more than 15 minutes. Farmar and Shannon Brown are about as quick as it gets for the Lakers to stay with AB. He needs to keep attacking while picking his spots. He did extremely well in game 1 not to get out of control like in some of the 1st round games.
Glad to see AB getting some quality press, now maybe some of the Houston fans can see what it is Adelman and Morey are trying to do..... AB is ...the answer. DD
