ESPN just reported during the Dodgers-D'backs game that a warrant was issued for Kobe Bryant's arrest stemming from felony sexual assualt charges in Colorado. He turned himself in to authorities and later posted $25,000 bond. They said more on SportsCenter later tonight...we'll see what comes of this.
He's just trying to improve his street cred. This is surprising, as Bryant has made a name for himself as a "good" guy. Definitely has some explaining to do. Felony sexual assault? That's like Ruben Patterson bad.
Maybe it's just some lady's way of making money. Accuse a very wealthy person of sexual assault and sue them.I hope its not true, even though I hate the Lakers.
Thats what I am thinking. I hate Kobe with a passion, but the guy has been a model citizen off the court.
Plus why would Kobe assault a woman? I bet the guy can have almost any girl he wants anyways. Not to mention the fact that he has an absolute hottie for a wife.
If you did it Kobe, you can kiss your ass goodbye to literally tens of millions of dollars in edorsements, especially considering that you are on the verge of a major shoe deal. I thought he was smarter than that, but if he did do it he deserves everything that's comin' to him.

An unidentified woman filed a report with authorities July 1 alleging sexual misconduct by Bryant at a hotel in Eagle County. Law enforcement officials who reviewed evidence concluded there was sufficient evidence to charge Bryant with felony sexual assault. Authorities say Bryant has been cooperative during the investigation. Bryant posted a $25,0000 bond after turning himself in to the Eagle County Sherriff's Detention Facility in Eagle, Colo., on Friday. Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak issued a statement expressing surprise. "These allegations are completely out of character of the Kobe Bryant we know," it read. "For the seven years he's been with us he has been one of the finest young men we've known and a wonderful asset to both our team and our community. "However, since this is a legal matter being handled by the authorities in Colorado, we must refrain from further comment at this time."
Man I find this hard to believe, I'm stunned. In fact when I saw the thread I seriously thought it was a joke and was waiting to see it be about somebody like Mark Bryant or another guy with the name Bryant. Boy oh boy, the Lakers go from almost getting Payton and Malone to Kobe being charged with sexual assault. I hope it isn't true.
As much as I hate Kobe, I hope this isn't true. I won't go so far as saying it can't be, because people do **** like this everyday, even those with hot wifes, money, fame ect.
I think this story has to be BS. Kobe doesn't do anything wrong. He doesn't drink, gamble, go to strip clubs, or any of that crap. He is a goody two shoes for heaven's sake. Also, he seems completely devoted to his wife and family. Stranger things have happened but I just don't believe this one.
That's the first thing I thought of. Seriously though, Kobe will never have street cred no matter what he does.

Two things: As much as I hate Kobe, innocent until proven guilty. Everything else is speculation. Second point though...to assume that this is just a woman after money, or that Kobe wouldn't do it because his wife is hot are also dangerous assumptions. The first because no one here knows anything about the issue at all, and the second because nothing about the crime of sexual assault, neither psychological assesment, nor the history of it's occurence supports an argument that only guy who can't get attractive women in their own right commit sexual assault. I won't go into the whole " It's about power, not sex." thing, but there is a huge history of big stars who could get lots of women still comitting sexual assault.
Something you'll come to learn quickly: never believe anything you see on the ESPN message boards unless it comes with a link to a factual story. I highly doubt these accusations are true, and I know that "story" in the post above is not true. I may not like Kobe, but I'm smart enough to know better.
Puuulllllllleaze MacBeth...... just look at Kobe's smile, he is soooo guilty. Also, we all know that Kobe "Wants to be like Mike"...... Mike cheated on his wife, so it is only fitting that Kobe do the same. I wouldn't be suprised if the woman is the same woman MJ boinked
