That was my first choice but I heard it gets hot there.....and with the weather we've been having lately I don't want a sauna brunch.
This all sounds like alot of money for a meal that is neither breakfast nor lunch, but some unholy combination thereof.
I have never been to brunch in my life. Growing up with chemical plants in your backyard will do that to a kid. Might have to give it a shot one weekend after we move.

Always seemed that way to me too (especially the expense). Of course, it's really just lunch with more breakfast type foods, since who really gets up early enough to eat a serious breakfast anyway... It must be more popular in Texas than in the deep south. When I first moved here, I was shocked at how many people went out to brunch. I thought, "shouldn't at least some of them be in church?" I've never been out to one of these brunches, because it's expensive (for me at least) and I wouldn't drink the alcohol anyway. Sounds good enough if you can afford it.
actually, i think it has become a trend pretty recently in texas. in new york it is a birthright. brunch is a ritual here and considerably less expensive than some of the prices i'm seeing in this thread.
unless you live across the street and want to relax. thumping disco music is a great way to ruin a quiet sunday. i sometimes wish that place would burn down again.
I think it has more to do with ambience. You get to linger over good food and drinks on a lazy Sunday. Plus you get choices for both breakfast and lunch. I love it!!!!! Most places are buffet and include plenty of food and sometimes drinks. It's worth it IMO.
I had breakfast there last week outside under the covered area and it was nice. They have the ceiling fans running and it is shady. You can also sit inside on their glass-enclosed area back by the fountains. That is quite comfortable.
I might have to just go for it then. Do you know about the mimosas? I didn't think they were bottomless but I read somewhere they served $2.00 mimosas....not bad.
I couldn't help you there. I don't drink. Their weekend buffet rocks. Plus, they have this new place right next door - Baba Yega's Express. Selected items plus to-go stuff and breakfast during the week when Baba's is closed for breakfast. Makes a good alternative if the main place is packed.
Just realize that Baba Yega's is really health-concious. I'm fine with that from time to time, but not for brunch. My brunches always have plenty of eggs, bacon, and sausage, thank you. BTW, does anyone know of a place that serves a good eggs benedict? I've been craving that for a while.
I'll try it out. Thanks. What area of town is it in? Also, I've heard wondrous thing about The Breakfast Klub. Fried Chicken and waffles or french toast Catfish and grits Not to mention rave reviews on the normal fare. I don't think they have bellini's or mimosa's, however.
You haven't had their French toast. Jeebus, is that rich. Plus, they have LOTS of eggs and you can get lots of different kinds of meat from what I've seen. I don't think of the food there as healthier so much as fresher.
