    Make him earn his PT.

Adelman said he won't sit Brooks just because he's rookie, but if Brooks struggle badly and hurts the team, I'd bet Adelman will sit his ass.

I would play him at least 10-15 minutes. I really love to see this guy tear up other rookies on this league. The guy was one of the pure shooter with great body control and can really bring his game to the level of the NBA. Straight up!!!

depends on how long rafer and luther are still around, but id say definitely no more than 15 minutes a game... probably like less than 10 if luther and alston are in the lineup

not upset if he doesn't play this year since we have a more complete team. If rafer is gone, no doubt Brooks will get some decent time to play, much more than Span or JLucas did.

Adelman is like Jeff, he doesn't trust rookies. Look what he did to our very own Ronnie Price. I barely see play with Kings.

Probably none. Maybe in garbage time if he is even active. Denniscd....you are just trying to rile up the young fans. What are the odds of a late pick actually making it? Horry and Cassel were oddities.

Adelmam will use a 10 man rotaion if it's warranted, and with this team it will be warranted.

    First Unit:

    PG Steve Francis
    SG Tracy McGrady
    SF Shane Battier
    PF Luis Scola
    C Yao Ming

    Second Unit:

    PG Mike James
    SG Luther Head
    SF Bonzi Wells
    PF Chuck Hayes
    C Dikembe Mutombo

Brooks, Butler, Novak, Landry will be fighting for D-League, IR and minutes after injuries to key players, because even after that first 10 you have Kirk Snyder.

That's not at all like the Spanoulis issue, where you basically had 3 point guards and the two that the coach chose to play instead of Spanoulis were awful. So I really think Brooks should be happy just making the roster as the 13th player and waiting to come off the IR once there is an injury, and hoping Landry and Novak get sent to the D-League instead.

It's a completely different situation than last year with Spanoulis also because Brooks is clearly the 3rd best point guard, whereas last year it was very severely debated by many where Spanoulis ranked, particularly as compared to Lucas III.

Its a different situation with Brooks than Vspan. Vspan couldn't get playing time even though Alston was shooting under 40 percent from the field with Luther Head playing backup. Vspan also showed that if he is playing to his strengths he can embarass NBA all-stars. Brooks hasn't shown that yet.

I would have no problem if Brooks gets little playing time if Francis and James play up to their NORMAL career capabilites.

Denniscd just wants to prove that JVG was the best coach ever and we are all hypocrytical know nothing fans that have no right into questioning JVG's and denniscd's basketball opinions and knowledge of the game since most of us never coached basketball before. Lets also not forget he has inside knowledge (which I appreciate very much) and CD (Carrol Dawson) sucks.

Exactly, it was a seriously Napoleonic coaching-style call by JVG to bench Spanoulis under the whole entire scope of all the facets of the situation last year, but Brooks getting significant PT this year (barring big time injuries) would seem to actually be the weird coaching move by Adelman.

without JVG there are no such concerns

RA isnt scared too play the kids.

its a long season, plenty of time to share the PT.

Adelman isnt afraid to mix an match the lineups.

If our corp of PG's do their job, he probably won't see more court time than VSpan or JLIII did. People wanted to see Billy last season because Rafer can't shoot and Luther can't play point. Hopefully this won't be a problem with the addition of James and Francis.

Overall, with Rafer, James, and Francis currently ahead of him on the depth chart (and I expect Rafer to be moved), I'd guess about 8 minutes per game playing in 40 - 50 games.

There's no way in hell he gets up 15 per game unless there are injuries.

we have Steve, MJ and brooks to share the 48 minutes (if Rafer leave). If Brooks along could get 15 ~ 20 minutes, how would you distribute the rest minutes between Steve and Mike ?
