Rockets throwing in the towel? Gave the Suns and Grizzlies the pieces for a playoff push.

I'm not complaining I think they made the right choice.

It's a good point. What's in it for him to appear on Houston radio?

All day on here he's been called "cancer" and "problem child," but he always gave it his all, and had one emotional lapse where he ran to the locker room.

Otherwise, he's been a class act and I wish him the best.

I agree with that. We gave veteran rotation players to two bubble teams we're fighting against for a playoff berth. Time to tank, I suppose.

We pushed them farther down the lottery and made us weaker so our pick next year will be better now.

So there's that, I guess its tankorama time.

You can add taunting the opposing crowd in a Rockets' win (where he didn't do jack) and getting mutliple technicals at the end of close games.

The guy is by no means a thug but he handles adversity very poorly. You could see some signs of it last year when he would lose his temper for no reason but this year he really showed his true colors when things don't go his way. There was no reason to believe things were going to get better for him.

I summarized the interview... Not sure what happened.

He spoke about how he regrets walking off the bench...should have just gotten two technicals instead...

He loves the players and coaching staff. He will definitely stay in contact with the players.

He guesses that front office felt comfortable with Kyle as the long term starter... He's a great player.

He's not mad at all about being traded, it's the NBA.. It's his dream, and it's a part of business.

He's been hurt all season, and is still trying to recover from injury. He knows what he can do and that he's better than what he's been.

He definitely won't mind backing up two time MVP Steve Nash and has not spoken to Phoenix front office about if he's in their long term plans. Phoenix is a great organization.

He loves Houston fans, will miss Houston

He was very humble and accepting to his new home and looks forward to playing in Phoenix. No hard feelings at all.

I agree, and I'll add that I'm very surprised that AB wasn't tougher mentally. In interviews, he seems like a pretty level-headed guy, but this year he took an obviously tough situation and made it that much worse by handling it all wrong.

Hopefully he'll learn from his mistakes and man up in Phoenix, but I'd say the odds are about 50-50.

I think he will be just fine. He just got too much too soon. The Rockets moved their starter for him and then he had a good playoff showing. Follow that up with him basically being the number one option (even if it was out of desperation) on a decent team for an entire season. Also, I would not be surprised if management and the coaching staff filled his head with visions of grandeur (along the lines of them talking up Trevor Ariza like he was the next McGrady) and what your left with his a young man who feels like he just had the rug pulled out from underneath him by his own family.

I'm definitely not putting blame on the Rockets here but I think the situation plus his immaturity lead to all of this. A new team, a top notch mentor in Nash and a clearly defined role should do wonders for him. We already know he is a competitor and a good guy so the rest will work out for him IMO.

It was time for him to go.

Is this the same type of cunning genius that had you choose, as a handle, a rockets year where we'll compete for the worst record in the NBA?
