The Rockets didn't sign him to be a defensive stopper He was brought here to score and did a fantastic job in limited play. He also made some great passes in crucial moments of the series. AB's definitely matured as a player and I'd actually rather have him back over Jeremy Lin. Atleast AB will take open shots
u do realize that this isn't 2009 and that for the past 3 years AB has been a terrible player(3rd string PG) AB scouting report undersized ineffective chucker, but can hit the three sometimes not a consistent playmaker high TO PG AND MOST IMPORTANT CAN'T PLAY DEFENSE you understand that in 10 min. AB scored 4 points and gave up 7 points, plus 2 TO Lin and Bev played bad to but dont prop up AB over the starting PG because he had 2 decent games in the playoffs
AB0 can't handle 82games in regular season, even come off the bench . He can be a decent mentor and insurance for Lin/PB. But I believe Morey will use the SUNS 2nd round pick to draft a PG from Europe.
Derek Fisher got his this game, and he made a good defensive stop on Brooks for the first time in half a decade. Coaches don't know, but WE know - at LEAST that Brooks can take Fisher almost at WILL. (Reggie Jackson is another story) But Brooks can match Fisher and then some. I'da had little concern of Brooks playing extended minutes vs OKC's 2nd string Kevin Martin came alive finally, and that was the game. Brooks woulda at least held his own OFFENSIVELY vs Fisher.
Well, did you watched the game? He was playing terrible defense. Making Reggie Jackson look like a star.
It's true. However Jackson was doing the same thing to Beverley around the same time. Felt like he had 5-6 nice drives in a row.
