    Im starting to get pumped up with the recent play of this team. They are playing their hearts out as if their lives depend on the playoffs. Sunday's game is going to be huge and its going to be one hell of a game. GO HOUSTON!!!

    This is a great time for NBA basketball. Every playoff contending team right now has turned it on all high gears. Golden State lost tonight but put up a hell of a fight down to the final buzzer. Phoenix against Sacramento moved the ball around very well, and showed their defensive intensity.

    Houston granted they played one of the worst teams in the NBA, showed up and finally showed that they know how to finish off a team without letting them creep back into the game. Francis moved the ball around tremendously well tonight, forcing the tempo on fast break oppurtunities making almost half court passes a lot of the time when the ball was kicked out. It was almost like watching the Kings or Suns style of play. Rice has found his shooting touch again tonight. EG put up some productive numbers, with one very sweet half court bounce pass to Stevie for a fastbreak layin that resulted in two free throws. Yao quietly put up nice numbers tonight, without being the cause of a lot of turnovers. Mobley made a couple of questionable plays, but all in all, displayed his value in tonights game, and finally Posey consistently hit his buckets from the perimeter which totally opened up his slashing, attack the basket kind of game. Steve also quietly put up some incredible numbers without having to be a ball hog in doing so, almost averaging a triple double. All in all, a very impressive performance tonight, as well as the previous game against the Clippers despite that last second call in regulation.

    It really seems as though all these teams are running on all cylinders, and these are very exciting times. I sincerely hope the Rockets bring it to Phoenix with the same defensive intensity, and offense productivity as they did tonight. If they can find it in themselves to be even more productive then tonights performance, then of course bring it on. Albeit as nice as this winning streak has been for the Rockets, there's still a good number of games left, and they'll have to show this same kind of consistency if they really want to seal the deal in getting into the playoffs. Otherwise, it'll be just another nice mini run that was all in vain. Lets not hope for the latter! Go Rockets!

    No way we lose to Pho! If we play with fire and take the ball to the hole/pound it in to Ming and Mo there is no way we lose. Sacramento showed why the won't beat the Lakers in the game on Thurs, Webber is a big p***y! He sat at the elbow and just shot Js rather than taking the game to the Pho D. I just hope that Steve and Posey take a break and get ready for a hell of a defensive night. Go Rox!

    I have a horrible horrific terrible terrifying feeling that the Rockets are going to lose to the Suns of Biothes. I had the same feeling before the Bulls game, and I was as wrong as polygmism. I hope I am wrong again.

    Right now, everyone's playing well, and I'm hoping to see a lot of Mo and a lot of Rice for this game. This game is going to go at playoff pace, which is SLOW compared to the regular season.

    What I know is that it will be a battle. Marbury is one of those guys that will never let this go easy. But Steve Francis and Yao Ming are exactly the same.

    If Posey can slightly control Marion, we are in very good position to win.

    Rockets 101
    Phoenix 100

    Double Overtime

    I do hope we win.

    BUT IT BETTER BE SOLD OUT. They should advertise this game like heck. It is very important. All the news stations should be raving about it.

    We need 12 sell outs!!! I think we have 9 so far...

    We have 2 more sellouts guranteed. Yao-Shaq is a sellout, and Houston-Memphis (final game in Compaq Center) will also be a sellout.

    So with this one, the organization already reaches its goal of 12, and I think we can expect ONE more assuming we don't drop out of the playoff race.

    I read somewhere that the realistic expectations were around 6, and 12 was very hopeful. So things are looking good on that front and honestly, since the All STar break, The Laptop hasn't ever been noticeably empty. Always decently filled.

    New Arena, New Uniforms, and contending team next year. I'm sure we'll have more than 2 new names too (trades), which will add some more buzz.

    I hope we turn out to be one of those teams that are invinceable at home, losing like 7 games all season at home (36-7).

    Can you guys even imagine Yao Ming after some NBA offseason physical conditioning, and Griffin being beeffed up even more?

    All we need is a playoff apearance this season.

    Common. I can't wait. Kill the Suns!!

    What is the tie breaker if we split the season series and have the same record at the end of the season?

    record against the west. and we're tied in that category right now, too. so my question is...what if we end up with the same record against the west, we lose this game, and we tie? what is the tie breaker after that?

    I think the order is,

    1. head to head;
    2. against division;
    3. against conference;
    4.???

    Two-Team Tiebreaker

    1. Better record in head-to-head games
    2. Higher winning percentage in conference games
    3. Higher winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)
    4. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference
    5. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in opposite conference
    6. Higher point differential between points scored and points allowed

    #3 does not apply to Houston/Phoenix

    ...but if the Rockets take care of business, we won't have to worry about this.
