http://my.nba.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5700021266 It's a little old, dunno if it's been posted before or not.... "Sep 22, 2008 If you're a people watcher and amateur psychologist (both of which I happen to be, for better or worse) then the best part about watching practice is observing the way teammates interact with each other. Case in point: The highlight of today's informal workout at the Toyota Center practice facility occurred while Tracy McGrady, Mike Harris and DJ Strawberry were competing in an hour-long three-point shooting competition. About halfway though, Brent Barry walked by, took one look at the three competitors, and muttered, "I'll go ahead and let them believe they can shoot for one day at least." Classic, but Barry wasn't done. After T-Mac finally prevailed, Barry, who by now was doing some stretching exercises on a stability ball, motioned McGrady over just so he could ask him this doozy: "Do you actually feel good about beating those two?" Looks like Barry is already feeling right at home with his new teammates. " I'm just curious as to what McGrady's response was...
Great! Finally we have somebody, since the days of Jon Barry and Bobby Sura, with the balls to call on Tracy when he starts going on a brickfest.
Hahahah. Yeh! I can't believe it was T-Mac against Mike Harris and D.J. Strawberry. Bahahahahahaha. Maybe he's showing his "down to earthness."
This is the type of motivation T-mac needs from his teammates. He needs to be the best among them and in the whole league. Please raise your offensive and defensive game to where it was. We all believe in you
Agreed! I was hoping the story would have went something like this: Barry joins in with T-mac, strawberry and harris and schools them all, motivating them to become better.
In the training camp interview where they were talking about his age and ending his career with the Rockets... "There are alot of guys my age doing a lot of different things... They have terrible jobs like being sports reporters, so I'm just trying to enjoy what I'm doing now."
hehe, never knew B.B was such a quotable guy... with him and Deke, our team should have the locker room chemistry to go along with all that talent this season.
