That's the kind, where after the game, you'd like to see the umpire have a look at the call on replay and explain it in front of the press.
Im one to usually give the ump the benefit of the doubt most times, just because its a tough job and you are bound to miss a few. But that "strike" came through the zone down around Bullinger's ankles. Not even close. Did yall just see that through from Bagwell?? ouch. Could barely get it over the pitcher's mound before it bounced.
when i saw it, i said that was the worst strike call i've ever seen. then i remembered that i saw the final strike called by eric gregg in that marlins/braves nlcs in '97. that was the worst strike call ever. but this was close. if it was anyone but the pitcher up there, he doesn't call it, which makes it even worse. he screwed us out of a bases loaded situation because it was the pitcher. pathetic.
Well Bullinger didn't help by swinging at the next pitch, which was shoulder high. After all these years you guys should know that the Brave pitchers ALWAYS get the calls against the Astros. Bags should really try to learn to throw left handed this offseason.
Its a shame you guys don't get Fox SW. Yall are missing Tony Danza doing some color commentary this inning. *no joke*
I am not believing this what is Tony Danza doing in the Astros booth? I thought I was watching a Yankee game
i caught a piece of something this morning scrolling across ESPN while watching cold pizza. i think he's got a show coming out with that hot chick Katrina from The Apprentice as his cohost.
Man, **** Weathers. Guess Garner has the Jimy syndrome. If this team wants to win, CUT WEATHERS AS FAST AS ****ING POSSIBLE!!!
We need Hernandez up here to start along with a healthy Pettite to have any chance(with Munro going to the Pen) ... This bullpen seriously needs help ... I just can't believe that we don't have somebody better than Weathers in AAA that can't help us out.
