What do you think about taking a chance on this guy as a 2nd rounder or undrafted FA? Yes, he's a big stiff who don't bring much offense and is not a shot blocker. But the guy is, amazingly enough, the best offensive rebounder in the NCAA by a good margin, and he's 7'1'' with a solid enough body to bang with NBA centers. He's not going to be anything more than a specialist, but he seems to have a specialty that the Rockets can use. Besides, he'll come cheap.

Seems decent.. doesn't pack any offense but would be a good backup to Yao. Defense is strong.. i'd take him early late 1st round

Dude reminds me of Joel Pryzbilla. Not really a guy who should ever be counted on for anything on offense other than putbacks and the occasional dunk, but a good post defender who will end up really pissing off whoever he's playing against.

It sounds like you should stop being a Rockets fan, chump. T-Mac's gone and Zoubek's a natl champ so no matter how much hate you have for him that'll be your problem.

Barring a highly improbable situation, Zoubek will not be drafted, but he will certainly garner multiple draft camp invites. The question is whether or not he accepts them or simply jumps straight for a guaranteed contract overseas. I honestly think he would be better suited for the international game, since he has great size and good hands but not the basal-level athleticism to play in the NBA (Coach K was just asked about his up-and-down career and responded with something to the extent of "well first of all he can't have an up-and-down career because he doesn't have any ups" LOL). But yeah his emergence is the reason Duke is cutting down the nets this year, and he will find a place to play professionally somewhere, so long as he can remain healthy.

I'd trade Hayes, and S&T Scola for Bosh/Stoudemire. If that became true, having him as back up wouldnt be bad. Maybe a possible twin towers off the bench in him and Andersen?

At least you are supporting your argument with original intellectual insight. You must a Butler fan......

We are so lucky to have posters like you on this BBS. Next time can you try to dumb down your post a little to accommodate the less intelligent readers in here? Oh, wait.....

He has no future in this league.

He has no future in the Euro League for that matter.

He probably thought, and rightfully so, that he didn't need to say more, since almost anyone who's watched even a game or two of Duke this season knows exactly what he's referring to.

I despise Brian Zoubek more than any player I've despised in a long time. He's a whining, flopping b****, who dives into lanes at the last second and flops with a pathetic authority that would make Mehmet Okur, Derek Fisher and Vlade Divac all jealous. He and Duke's officials nearly single-handedly ended Baylor's season with a horrendous charge against Quincy Acy. He basically was responsible for tearing DaSean Butler's ACL by flying in late to try and draw another "charge". And last night, despite repeatedly shoving Butler defenders in the back and out of bounds, he had no fouls until the second half.

He has almost zero basketball skills. But he does have three things going for him: size, flopping ability, and whining. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jerry Sloan take a second-round gamble on that.

outstanding post. he can suck a **** as any ncaa official can attest. the non-call when he threw howard to the ground was just the final icing on that **** cake called the 2010 ncaa men's basketball tournament.

I would prefer us to go after a true center with a higher ceiling in the first round such as Aldrich or Whiteside, but if he could be a nice second round pick we use as a longshot if the other Center is a bust. I just would not give up a lottery pick on him. Plus I believe he has a bum knee already.

The flopping showcased by Duke's tighty whities was just appalling.

All those refs should be hanged in public.
