I was wondering can do a CF bowling thing sometime? I know there's already a thread about this over the summer but I can't find it. I just bowled today at UH and scored a 234 and now I'm all psyched to bowl some more.
had a horrible start to league last week. 153 277 256 it got betta. its tough to find a decent house that has available open lanes during this time of year. the fall leagues are just getting underway, and in most good houses the lanes are close to full every weeknite. Saturday afternoon is best, but then you have to fight it out for lanes with birthday parties. needless to say, Im up for any CF bowling competition.
ive been bowling a lot lately...i went yesterday and bowled a 208 followed by a 102.....the spin wasnt working on the 2nd game i started playing ping pong too. Ive been playin with the asians. Thats how you get good
did you do a little victory dance after each strike? i once caught this guy doing the funniest dance after a strike. he called it rolling the dice. i should put up the video
Damn, R2K! You should be rollin' with The Dude! First Lady, you ain't too shabby, yourself. I love to bowl. My surgically repaired back doesn't allow it, though. The closest I get these days is with the Wii. Actually, it's fun. (but NOT really bowling!! )
Wow! I actually average like a 110. That 234 is a fluke, pure luck. I was bowling next to these old Vietnamese men and they were pretty good so I think their juice sorta spilled over to me. And yeah I do the girly 2-finger throw because that's the only way my little Asian hands can spin the ball. I pong too.. we should do a CF pong after bowling sometime. I should post a video of you bowling so CF can see how good you really are. HUAHAHAHA! I can blackmail you now. Suddenly you owe me lunch. So where do you guys usually bowl? I bowl at UH because I live 5 minutes away and it's $1.60/game for students. The only other place I've ever bowled in Houston outside of UH is at Funplex.
is there a bowling class at UH? A real bowling class where they teach you how to put the spin on it...im very incosistent when it comes to the movement

Our monthly poker group joined a league this summer and we had a steak dinner on which of our two teams would finish higher in the standings. The losing team finished 2nd to last place, and the winning team finished one game better in 3rd to last place. But man, were those steaks good ! DD
I don't live in h-town and can't participate, but I do enjoy bowling. I haven't been in ages, and never went all that much. My all time high score for 1 game is only 155. My father was good enough to go pro, and would have if not for his family. He was in leagues all the time when I was a kid. Anyway it sounds like fun. Enjoy it guys.
^^No worries, we should bowl next time you're down here. And how much is it to join a league? I know it's too late but I'd definitely wanna join one next time it comes around.. and how often is it? Once a year kinda deal? As for this.. I kinda wanna go bowling this weekend. The only place I know that doesn't have a league playing during that time is probably UH. Anyone else know where we might be able to play?
Bowling is too expensive to get good at. I go a couple times a year, toss a couple of 100 games, and just get drunk and have fun...
