Boston had a big first quarter and has lead the whole way but New Orleans has been whittling away and is now down by just 1 point with 7 1/2 minutes left in the 4th. Never thought I'd say this but GO CELTICS!
what is it with NO and 4th quarters ? how are so damn good in the 4th ? they have outscored boston 18-4 so far. they outscored us 31-10, and outscored the spurs by 25 in the 4th a couple weeks ago. WTF ?!
Very impressive comeback for the Hornets. It almost looked like the game would be over in the 1st half. Too much David West for the Celtics to handle. That guy is unstoppable. The only thing that can stop him is himself. When David West plays well, the Hornets can beat anyone.
This should help prove my point in another thread that David West is a mismatch problem for everybody in the league because of his ability to get his jumper off so quick and so efficiently. He's a very, very good player, definitely a multiple All Star.
Anyone that denies West's talent is just ignorant or a hater. He's a 20/9 player who is a "go to" guy that can score multiple ways. He can post up, hit the jumper, will attack slower players off the dribble and finishes strong at the basket. He also moves VERY WELL without the ball and is a great compliment to a playmaking PG. Plus he doesn't have to touch the ball every time down the floor, which keeps their other players happy. West is the kind of PF I would create on a chalkboard. While I don't like him or the Hornets, the guy is good.
Amare is the PF everyone would get if they created him from the ground up. West is good, but no where near Amare's talent... not even close!
Defensively, Amare couldn't guard a mailbox and that will continue to be his biggest detriment. By the way, I was rooting for the Hornets last night. My utter disdain for the Celtics after Tuesday's classless display of sportsmanship has transcended my worries about the Western Conference seeding war. I'll gladly sacrifice a few games to see those cocky losers get beat.
