Has anyone else read this book by Michael Lewis? I thought it was an amazing story and wished that Michael Oher came out this year so that the Texans could pick him in the 1st.

Yeah I read it. And yes... we need a great offensive tackle.

    I had the same thought.

I've heard that they are currently casting the movie and Glen "Big Baby" Davis read for the part of Michael.

Agreed. Great book, and it's interesting to see how the perception of the "value" of offensive linemen, in particular the tackle blocking for the QB's blindside, has changed over the years. It was neat to have all that background set the backdrop for the story of Michael Oher. I just recently read "Meat Market" from Bruce Feldman about the Ole Miss recruiting season last year, and so it seems like I've read a bunch about Ole Miss recently! But, it's an interesting book in that it follows all the highs and lows of the coaches trying to coax talent to come to a struggling university.

What do you think so far? I read it last summer.

Blindside is also on my reading list along with his other book "Moneyball".
