I saw it, and it brought a smile to my face.

The Rockets playing .700 ball without him showed him that he's not bigger than the team.
The Rockets losing basically without him in and TMac out showed him the importance of the Mac.
The Rockets winning with him playing his best game of the year showed him he can be an integral part of a winner.

Welcome to the team. He had what, 3 dunks today? He showed he's in infinitely better shape than he was early on vs. Dallas, and seems to be getting better each game. He and Yao seem to have a nice bit of offensive chemistry going.

I know it may be an act, but given how Bonzi's had a bad reputation around the league, and how he said the wrong things earlier, I do think there's a possibility he's really turned the corner.

I also wonder if it's any coincidence that Bonzi plays a good game and Rafer looks like a solid player. Bonzi's shots are most likely going to come out of the ridiculous amount of FGA's Rafer had been putting up.

i guess bonzi realizes that it's walk the line or face the end of his career.

Much thanks R2K. I wouldn't be surprised if things went sour again, but I actually think JVG and Bonzi will be able to put the past behind them. If we keep winning they definitely will.

Just win baby!! I don't care if JVG and Bonzi do not like each other as long they are both professional when it comes to the team and winning games, it is all good. :D

bonzi's not an idiot, on the basketball court or otherwise. it doesn't shock me that he picks up the game failry quickly and he interviews well. obviously he doesn't always stay in line but if he can for the rest of the year, like he did last year in sacramento, he can be huge for us. yeah i know he's already "huge" for us. :) he looks like he's getting in shape though, and that explosiveness will come around quickly.

Looks like Bonzi is converted into JVG's system... looks like Tracy can rest his back a little longer

Bonzi taking away shots from rafer is truly a blessing.

JVG has always been known as a player's coach. Yao and T-mac loves the guy, and Juwon, a veteran, accepted a role off the bench to start the year with. I think that speaks volume on JVG's behalf. If Bonzi wants to win, just do what everyone else on the team is doing. This will be a scary team when healthy as the season progresses.

hmmm...gotta be a false positive, full system scan returned no trojans detected.

will run a backup AV scan to doublecheck.

I see Bonzi tries to get himself playing time by being EXCEPTIONALLY diplomatic. Whatever Bill Worrell and Air Bull asked he started his answer with "definitely" and repeatedly said "the coach has done an excellent job", "he gave me great opportunity" etc etc. Like somebody said before, I don't care if he is TRULY starting to get along well with JVG and his Rox teammates. The most important thing is that he is helping the team, especially when TMac is out.

It's funny how just a coupla weeks ago Bonzi was supposedly "done" - and fixin to get traded.

Now Bouncy Whales is bouncin along, working his way into the line up.

T-Mac going out was definitely a blessing in disguise...hopefully. Now all Mac has to do is comeback (and not go out again), Bouncy bounces back to form, and we're in this thing!!!
