I have thought about doing this program, even before Jim Rome started pimping it. I just turned 30 a few months back and my physique is starting to resemble that Paul Simon "You can call me Al." (Why am I so soft in the middle while the rest of my life is so hard...) I used to be in great shape... 12 years ago. Now that I am married and don't get out much except to play golf it is starting to show. Joined a gym and went for while but moving screwed that schedule up. I am not super fat by any means at all. I just eat junk and my metabloism ain't what it used to be. Anybody here done body for life?
My brother-in-law has done body for life for about a year now, and he really likes it. He was in good shape before and now he is in even better shape.
Bill Phillips has written a written a book and started a program to help people get in "the best shape of their lives". It is a program of exercise and scientific and healthy eating to achieve better goals starting with a 12 week period and developing change that will last a lifetime. The is also a challenge involved that includes cash prizes for the best success story for $100,000. This is also the company that promotes dietary supplements like EAS and Myoplex. There are a boatload of professional athletes who train woth Bill Phillips including Shannon Sharpe and Terrel Davis. I personally am not looking at it for the cassius clay, I just want to get in shape in a real way, not some slim fast, voo doo type BS way. There are videos and before and after pics at www.bodyforlife.com
I started doing Body for Life right after New Years and weighed in at 255. Last week I weighed in 218 and I feel freaking great. I have changed the way I eat and I work out 6 days a week. I made time and love it. My wife has been doing it also and has not lost much weight but has gone from wearing a size 10 to a size 6. We totally believe in it and think it has changed our lives dramatically. I also had high blood pressure but since losing weight it is great again. I try to get everyone I know to start doing it.
Cool that's what I was looking for; a success story from a person that is not on TV. Thanks dude! keep up the good work!
