Did anyone win one of these through the Rockets.com promotion ? My cynical side tells me that they were probably giving away 1 doll - but maybe not ...

I dunno about that but the way they gave them away at the game was just stupid. Instead of giving them away at the gate they had everyone go get in ANOTHER line after entering the arena. Luckily the lines moved fairly well but a stupid idea anyway.

I thought it was a great way to give them out. People who were not interested in getting a doll could avoid the crush and just find their seats; they could keep people from hoarding a bunch of the dolls -- and profiteering from it; there was no pushing or anything like that. I'd say a job well done.

Actually, that is exactly why they did it. I saw one of the Rockets people I know in the line and he talked about how crazy it was. Imagine if that was at the front door!
