What I thought was funny, was at about 1:27 in the vid, you can see T-Mac coming back from the locker room on the baseline from a most likely injury concern lol. But back on subject, Bobby was amazingly one of my fav Rockets. It's hard to believe that considering how few games he played for us. He was an all around talent with good size for his position and a certain toughness you can't find in everybody.
I don't see the correlation between Chris Bosh and why a Bob Sura thread would come into play. Am I missing something here? Sura's best days were when he was with the Cavs. Cool mix anyway..
Haha! I remember that crap that Howard pulled on Yao and wished someone would knock down his punk ass. A quarter later, Sura beats him down and wishes he never laid his hands on Yao. What a bad ass!
Even though I love Brooks, I'd still take Sura hands down. He's one of my all time favorite Rockets - was really pissed when he never could come back from injury. Funny thing is that he only played one season with us, and somehow I still would rate him above Tmac, SF3, etc... Imagine '07 playoffs against the Jazz, Warriors, and Lakers had Sura been healthy enough to play instead of Alston and Head going 0 for whatever...
I love Sura a bunch too. It killed me when he got injured and things might have turned out differently had he been healthy. I was simply commenting on how sick I was of all these "would you trade brooks for ____ " threads...
On my phone so I can't see the video yet. When he first got here, I was a bit pissed off that he picked number 3 for his rocket jersey. Plus, he had a damn that's annoying play when he was in Cleveland. He was a rebound short of a triple double so he missed a layp near his own rim to get a rebound. Bu his tough play through out the season plus "the tackle" won me over.
Found the story. April 13 2004, as a member of the Hawks. He was going for a third straight tripsdoub. But Ricky Davis is still a d bag
Noooo, we dont want tribute to CLEVELAND CAVALIERS highlights in this forum. This is a HOUSTON website! Thanks for the vid . After the McGrady/Francis trade, I thought he was the best offseason pickup to replenish some of the attributes that Francis took with him. He had size, tenacity, some all around game, could play perimeter defense and let McGrady concentrate on offense and guarding 3's. He was kinda the glue guy before Battier. When Mike James came and did his best Jason Terry impression, that team really took off. Still wasnt enough to take away the heavy workload as his health kept getting worse and worse. Sura never was a full time starter in the NBA before he got to Houston. So ironically us making him a full time starter probably ended his career quicker lol.
Spoiler IIRC Howard was trying to jump off a cliff and Sura saved the day. He then went on to slaughter Howard in the next few possessions.
