I'm really not trying to be argumentative with you, I'm not even all that crazy about Griffin. I guess I'm just hard headed by nature. At this point in their carreers, Outlaw is playing similar minutes and is averaging 4 and a half boards and exactly 1 block per game while Griffin is averaging 5.8 boards and 1.6 blocks. Okay, I'm through now before I have to admit there is more to defense than blocks and boards. j
I love Outlaw. He is a good player. But he can't do anything by himself except rebound. He's old too. I like Badiane as our Bo.
I just checked that... I had no idea. It looks like the Rockets aren't the only ones dishing out inflated contracts. I can admit when I am wrong. He doesn't deserve six a year. Maybe two or three but no way six. He's definitely overpaid.
I was about to bring that up, but for some strange reason other teams can get rid of their bad contracts but the rockets can't. Vin Baker and Joe Smith have been traded in back to back summers, yet the Rockets complain and hag about what they can't do.
Now that teams are using zones with regularity, players like Bo Outlaw who can't score for **** are utterly useless unless they come off the bench and are willing to play for the minimum or part of the 4.8M excpetion.
