Still the same problem, you go to new releases and NOT ONE is updated. NO coming soon anymore. No # to contact only an email.... Crying shame I have to go to reel.com to find out whats coming out and then update my que on BB..... I went to my local BB here and they are just as clueless if not useless when it comes to finding out info about the company they work for.... anyone suggest anything else?
I just signed up with Netflix because I heard it's better than BB. However, the first 2 movies I got were both scratched and unwatchable.
I've been using Netflix for about six months now and have only had one movie that came in scratched...a much better percentage than when I went to Blockbuster to get a movie.
Had blockbuster for 3 months now. I've seen about 20 movies, and only had 2 problems. i had one never show up and I had one this past weekend that was scratched bad enough to cause skipping. Overall I have been happy with the service. With the exception of the problem mentioned in the first post about the site not showing new releases.
I switched from BB to Netflix a couple of months ago and I'm not looking back. BB had a 8 to 12 day turnaround versus NF's 2 day. Netflix doesn't seem to have a good way of getting the titles of what is coming out either.
Although both have distribution centers in Houston,. BB seems to ship from different distribution centers sometimes. I've been using netflix for about 3 months and so far, only a couple of dvd's scratched, most in pretty good shape. I signed up for BlockBuster trial (1 month) just for kicks a few days ago to really compare the two, but NetFlix still seems to win hands down and with NO MOVIES in damn long queues or waiting period.
Anyone ever try www.intelliflix.com? If you pay a year in advance, you can get three movies out at a time for $8.25 a month. You can also pay a year in advance at $14.95 a month and add games and mature titles to your list.
People still rent pornos? Anyways, I had bad experiences with BB, even with 2 distribution centers in the same city I live in, it still takes them 3 days to recieve the movies I returned. And also a lots of movies have long waiting list, and some of them aren't even new releases (the first 2 disc of Family Guy season 1 are all in long waiting list).
Idiots who can't take care of a DVD they'll have for a few days should die painfully. How do you scratch up a DVD that badly?
This is the first time I have heard of intelliflix. Sounds like a good program, but I am a bit weary of committing to a year contract, since the company could go belly-up. Since you get 2 free in-store rentals every month with Blockbuster, it pretty much works out the same price-wise as intelliflix. Plus having the in-store coupons gives flexibility, especially when you are in between delivery cycles of Dark Angel, Season 2.
Try having a roommate with a dog who will find anything and everything to destroy. At least that's what happened to the one that got scratched up on my end.
I'm still waiting on The Incredibles, disc 1. I got the bonus disc very fast and have already returned it.
Really? The Incredibles was sent out to me as soon as it was on the top of my queue. It had said short wait, but I was able to get it no problem. Guess I was lucky using Blockbuster online. Btw, is the bonus disc worth watching?
I'm with BB online and I've had 0 problems. I usually have a two day turnaround time when sending movies back. I've been thinking of trying Netflix, just to compare services. Ladder49, Family Guy Disc 1&2 and Raging Bull have been in the que for a couple of months now. Netflix has been running $11.99 per month ads (popups). I might try it out.
Yes, if you want to see behind the scenes at Pixar. It looks like a great place to work. Also, some of the other features are worth checkiing out. I'll probably end up buying the dvd set.
