Damn Spurs they beat the Blazers, that sux. O well the Traiblazers still have a long way to go as a team and with Pippen leading them they will probably win it all

I believe he's talking about another Pippen (no relation, thank God) that will come around in the year 2016.

As much as you guys may not believe me, I am speaking of the one and only Pippen. Its been said many a times that the only way the Blazers well achieve the success they deserve is through Pippen's performing well. He has what it takes to put up solid numbers: 16 points, 6 boards and about 5 assists. With those kind of numbers and good play from the rest of the players they should make the playoffs and have a very nice impact. With the addition of Anderson, they can now go with a very effective big guard line up of Anderson, Wellz, and Pippen. Unlike Smith, Anderson can actually keep up with most point guards and two guards. Good defensive from Wellz and Pippen is a given. Wallace being the most talented forward in the league, its only a matter of him keeping his head cool and in the game. Kemp and Davis make a nice one two punch. good defensive and rebounding by Davis, and Kemp offers okay defensive and a nice outside touch. I am predicting the Trailblazers to win it all but if not then the Rockets shall.

It has been "only a matter of time" for several seasons now for Rasheed Wallace. What makes you think that the guy will ever learn to control himself and avoid technicals? Shouldn't we have seen some improvement in this area by now?

'Sheed has bigger problems than that. With Sabonis gone, he's going to be guarded by centers all year long ... which threatens to take away a lot of his low-post game, not to mention his ability to force double-teams and thereby open up shots for his teammates.

In two games against the Warriors' Erick Dampier and Adonal Foyle, he shot 25% (8-for-32) from the field.

Wow Swoopa that is way off base. There is not a single person in the league that can contend with Rasheed Wallace. He's too tall for power forwards and hes too quick for centers. No one can guard him one on one and yet most teams dont like to double him. So he has to burn them with his great arsenal of moves and not to mention he is a great passer.
Although the Blazers are 1 and 3, which is a bad record, its a good thing. Why because they usually fly out of the gate and play really well and then tail off at the very end. Now they are starting off bad, with every game they play they will grow as a team. Eventually they will ascend to the place they deserve, 1st or maybe 2nd place in the Western Conference.

Pip ... who are you trying to fool? I live in Oakland, and I saw both Portland-GS games.

The Warriors used mostly single coverage on Wallace, and 'Sheed hardly ever got a decent look at the basket (especially against Dampier). In fact, Portland double-teamed Dampier a lot more than GS did Rasheed, and yet they both scored the same number of points ... with Dampier taking 10 fewer shots.

Would it be rude to ask why, if your man is "too tall for power forwards and ... too quick for centers" with a "great arsenal of moves," he's only shooting 35% from the field? And why this "great passer" has no assists AT ALL in three of his four games?

I'll tell you the answer: just as I said, he's being single-covered more often by taller guys than he's used to dealing with. And with fewer easy shots over shorter defenders, his whole game is suffering.

'Sheed's certainly got a world of talent, so maybe he'll adjust. But even if he does, he's going to have to work harder just to reach his usual level of production without Sabonis on the floor.

Sometimes I just have to shake my head and wonder...why?
Why does one of God's creatures, created in his image, submit to a pathetic life as a Blazers fan?

Mm, mm, mm. :(

Umm actually for your information, I am a Rockets/Trailblazers fan. I just brought this stuff up because after all it is NBA dish. Its meant for like everyone not just biased opinions from a bunch of fans who can't move on. Wow talk about holding a grudge, he was here a long time ago and now hes gone. Barkley has moved on why can't you guys. I love how you saw Wallace in those two games and based on those two games you have decided what Wallace can and can't do. Its only been 4 games, let the season go on, we shall see at the end how it all turns out, its too early to make irrational statements about a player.

IT HAS BEGUN
2 and 3, we will be a 500 ball club soon enough. Only one game but there were some good signs, a very good game by Wallace and Wellz. Pippen and Anderson also played pretty well. But i shall wait for a couple of more games before getting serious about it.

You mean irrational statements like, "There is not a single person in the league that can contend with Rasheed Wallace"??

I'll buy that it's too early to make statements like that -- or maybe too late, since Erick Dampier (of all people) contended with him just fine twice in a row. But then, I'm not the fool who made that statement. :D

Glad to see that Wallace was able to take out his frustrations on Ostertag, Malone et al., though. ;)

It's awesome that POR beat UTA tonight!

POR will destruct on its own, but anytime we can get a Jazz loss, the Rockets are helped out.

I think it would be incorreect to refer to the Blazers as a "team" at all. A team is a group of guys working towards a common goal, like the Rockets or even the Warriors(;)). The Blazers just happen to be guys who wear the same color shirts, a team they are not.
