    Absofreakinglutely right.

I need to put my new york city hostility/hating on new york on hold.
I should show more compansion for these guys after what they have gone through two years ago. But I will give it to these NYCers. These guys are a tough breed.

Thanks to New York's draconian gunlaws, NYers will be defending themselves with their unpowered appliance if looters, muggers, etc. attack...

Okay, obviously Broadway shows would be cancelled...

    ...but a Mets game?!?!

Besides being hectic and there being no reason to play the game (yes, I think it should be cancelled), Queens still has power, right?!?!

The most interesting part of all of this is that ABC News is forced to televise from DC with Koppel. Quite interesting.

Also, Pataki: "More than half is without power in the state."

    damn straight Burrito...

This is a weapons cache I would recommend:...

    1. 12 gauge shotgun 7-shot police pump with tac-star side saddle, pistol grip stock and mounted light

    2. An AR-15 M4 type carbine equipped with a dot holosight and brand such as Colt, or Bushmaster...keep 7 to 10 high capacity magazines full...

    3. A pistol with either a mounted light or crimson laser grips...example Beretta 92fs, Glock or .45 Government model...Have at least 3 to 5 mags loaded and ready...

That is bear minimum...If you could only have one, choose the shotgun!

This is somewhat related to the blackout...

Is anybody else watching Conan O' Brien? I didn't see any other shows in NY or the affected areas, but it is interesting watching it.

He's doing a show with like maybe 10 people in the studio, all of which work there it seems. Of course, no one is dressed in suits or anything. The band is wearing regular clothes, as well as Conan. They're trying to do a little bit of a show without power and an audience, but they will probably go to a "standby show" or something pretty soon.

I could still watch this show for an hour even without guests, an audience, and electricity. (though you may be able to say that the 1st 2 happend his 1st couple seasons.)

Anybody else in an airport for this thing?
I was up in Calgary today and I felt REALLY bad for all the airport employees--flights cancelling all over the place. You know when Chicago and New York's airports close, so do a LOT of their connecting flights. I was actually thinking about maybe connecting through to go to Atlanta, but this whole thing turned nuts and I figured it's best just to go home and wait till everything's okay.
One of the first times in my life I can actually say that I was quite relieved to be back in Salt Lake City.:D
