Okay, what the hell!? When I attempt to use Bit Torrent my downloads go at an EXTREMELY slow rate (like 4-10 at the most KB/sec) and I have DSL. Every other kind of download I ever use goes at normal rates of hundreds of KBs/sec, but for some reason, not BT. Does anyone know how to speed up the process or what my problem could be? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

are you behind a firewall on your router or your OS? if so, you will need to allow specific ports to allow it to download at a much faster speed, I believe ports 6881-6889

Is there anyway to combine two or more sets of videos together?

I mean if I have a video A and a video B can I combine them to make one, video C?

    easy answer then...

TMPGenc has a function under its MPEG Tools menu to merge files

Womble's mpeg2vcr(my fav mpeg editor) also makes it easy to merge together files.

mpeg2vcr costs a little...so TMPGenc might be a better option for you since it is freeware.

to be fair....Pun is a apt student...once something has been explained to him clearly....I never see him ask about the subject again.

he just is the type that isnt afraid to ask if something isnt clear to him..

I know you are just messing with him....but as one of the primary question answerers of his many questions...I felt the need to somewhat offer up a positice word... ;)

Thanks R2K. There is one more thing I was wondering about that we never got back together on. At one point a while back I asked about DVD burning and why when I tried to put some files on a burn list the program (Roxio) told me that the file was too big long and it may not burn completely/correctly. I stated that the file size was clearly under the 4.7 GB on a DVD-R and the time of the video was under the 120 min on a DVD-R. You asked me if the file was over 1 GB and I said yes some of them are but I don't recall getting any more information on the subject. Also, is there any way to go over 120 minutes on a standard DVD-R like when burning on some CD-Rs with certain programs and tools you can over-burn?

BTW nwo, my PC related questions as I said have dropped off a lot because now I know enough to figure most stuff out on my own. I just got into DVD burning so this is new territory to me. Like R2K said though I am not afraid to ask questions and besides I can't learn anything if I don't ask. :)

The speed thing is one that is affecting me as well, I have cable internet. I usually just download the torrent when I go to bed or work and let it download the files during the day/night. I have changed the ports, now if I changed them the correct way or not is another question but I did what the above website said to do. Is there anything else that can speed up these downloads where I can get files in a couple of hours like I have heard others getting?
