I'm attending the Knicks game tomorrow, my very first live Rockets game. I'm extremely excited!!!! I'm going with my roommate who's a NY fan, and I really, really hope they can pull out the win, no matter how ugly. On a different note, my brother and his fiancee, who are both huge Rockets fans, have just set a wedding date and are getting married in August. I was wondering how I can get Bill & Calvin to congratulate them on the air. What type of cookies do they like? How can I get them to their table? I'm really excited about tomorrow's game. I've been following the Rockets for a few years now, and the tickets were a Christmas gift. I'll try to come up with something intelligent to post about the game with my virgin eyes. ------------------
Bill and Calvin like just about any cookies I think. Just make sure to show up early (maybe an hour or so) and you should be able to give the cookies to them. The times I've been early I've been able to talk to them, etc. They're very friendly to the fans. If you can't make it an hour early, the ushers down low do try and run you off from being near the court. Just make sure you time everything right-- if you wait for Bill and Calvin to have a break you can just walk down there and call out Calvin by name (show him the cookies too, hehe) and he usually comes -- then of course they can't send you back to your seat. ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." The easiest way to do this is to call the Rockets front office and ask them to do it. They usually have no problem with requests like that. Call their offices and tell them you would like to see if you could get Bill and Calvin to make the announcement on the air. They'll probably direct you to the promotions department who can help you.
