Some friends of mine are going to this show tonight, and since I now know that AB is gonna be there I'm about to try to purchase some tickets. If you hear some random guy give a Clutchfans shout out in the middle of your act, that's me! EDIT: Never mind, looks like it is sold out for the 8:00 show..
Did anyone see him when he came into town this weekend? I caught the Austin show and he is just getting funnier with time.
I love Bill Burr's stand-up. This summer I was visiting my girl's family in Tennessee and I noticed Bill Bur was performing the same week in Nashville. I ended up booking a hotel and staying an extra day in Nashville just to see him perform at Zanies. It was so worth it. It was a semi-small club but it was awesome to see him live. Even ripped into some guy for being to drunk and loud. I wanted to see him play in Austin but I'd rather see a comedian in a smaller setting rather then a theater. I also love his podcast. I usually don't like just one guy talking but Bill is so funny just rambling about his life. Highly recommend The Monday Morning Podcast.
Went to the show in Houston, and loved it. That was my first time seeing him live and it was worth every penny. The guy can handle a crowd and killed.
The stuff I've heard him do on XM was pretty funny from what I recall. He was on 790 with Matt, Adam, and Lance last week and promptly dropped the F-bomb on the air for all to hear. lol.
Just fyi for people who like Burr. He directed a movie called Old Dads. It's apparently done and is now in the hands of the studio as to when it will be released; no timeline as far as I've seen. He talks about it every once in a while on the pod. Based on what he's said, he has my interest in it, which would make it the first comedy film I've had interest in since.... uhh..... Wedding Crashers?
