Chuck Hayes is a better option. Big Ben is pretty horrible at this stage of his career. He is as bad on offense as ever and doesn't even present much of a defensive presence anymore.

I think the Rockets can do much better than bringing in an old, bitter locker room cancer.

Maybe you missed the memo, but Big Ben sucks now. Even if he didn't, how does a 34-year-old help a rebuilding team?

The Ben Wallace we see now is not the 4 time defensive player (sharing that record with deke!) he use to be. He just doesn't look like he has that intensity and passion in his game like he had when he was a defensive player of the year.

Big Ben can still play? Are you kidding?
He is just like a piece of junk right now...we don't need him at all.

He's probably going to retire. Wallace has been done ever since he left Detroit, IMO [and stole that money from Chicago :p ]

We are rebuilding through the lottery and developing our young talent. Big Ben would a step in the other direction. We just can't definite the Lakers or Spurs. He's not enough.

...he looked awful offensively and sub par defensively the last time I saw him with Cleveland. I would be willing to bet Dorsey and certainly Hayes are more effective options than Big Ben at this stage in his career.

...but thanks for illustrating the point that formerly good over the hill players get unnecessarily praised well into their careers based on rep alone. I would suggest it's already started to happen with perception of Ron Ron's "lock down defense", and almost happened in this year's all star game with Tracy freaking McGrady nearly being voted into the game.

Everyone just needs to accept the fact that next season is going to be ugly, so let's hope the balls bounce our way and make it worth it.

Seriously, no old veterans. All they'll do is hurt our draft position.
