i would assume he knows that he has a better chance to something if he comes to the rockets. obviously hes not as good as billups but we can get him with a cheaper price, 5 millions maybe?

He isn't good. I am from Sacramento and I've watched him play for a while. The guy couldn't earn a trip to the FT line if his life counted on it. He isn't athletic enough. He's a good PG to control the tempo and make DECENT passes, but he isn't a reliable scorer and not much of an improvement. If he wants to come for like 3 million, sure, but he isn't worth much more, especially in his decline Come to think of it, I think his 10ppg on 30% fg cost the Kings the series against the Spurs, a series in which Bonzi and Artest dominated.

....and what exactly are we signing him with? After re-signing Artest/Wafer and almost certainly dipping into the MLE, what do we have left to offer Bibby? Bibby may be a shell of his former self and basically just a rich man's Brent Barry at this point in his career, but at age 30 he'll certainly get better offers (from the Hawks especially) than we can muster up. I highly doubt his history with Adelman is enough to get him to play for a discount.
He's a good shooter but his defense is noticeably bad but I'd take him if he comes at a reasonable price.
Why would you want Mike Bibby. I am a long time Kings fan, and i know Bibby's defense is as weak as Brooks. That is why Rick Adelman play Bobby Jackson more when the game is on the line. The same reason he play Lowry more. There is no reason to getting Bibby. Brooks shoot better than him and has the speed.
