I signed up for T Mobile wi fi, but it seems pretty limited. Any suggestions on the best wi fi options in Houston?
best is sprint or verizon. cricket wouldn't be bad either, they use sprint's backbone but they firewall certain content from what i heard.
Maybe you should clarify exactly what you are asking. Are you asking which spots are best for wifi or which ISP provides the best Wifi service?
The one that would have the most access to existing wi fi. Maybe I'm stupid, but I figured once you had wi fi access, it would allow you to get on wherever it was available.
A lot of these places like Starbucks still charge you for using their WiFi. They will say stuff like "Wifi hotspot" or "Wifi available" Look for a place that says free wifi.
I think you mean a tmobile wifi hotspot, which you can sign up for and get on whenever there's a tmobile hotspot nearby. If that's the case, check tmobile's site. If you mean an aircard that you have to plug into your laptop and pay 30-60 bucks a month for, then you can use that anywhere you have a strong enough tmobile cell signal.
I think if you have AT&T DSL, all AT&T wifi spots are free too. Just a thought. I don't pay attention to this stuff, but all the popular wifi providers should have a map online telling you all their spots.
Starbucks is a T-Mobile hotspot. Since there are Starbucks everywhere, T-mobile wifi is pretty widespread. That said, I think ATT negotiated with Starbucks too last year.
