Well I won't front I don't really know about JCI because I don't have one where I live but do they have a good variety?
Wendy's double stack kicks ass, and they have the best 99 cent chicken sandwich. It's even better than Church's. But I think Church's has a great value menu, also. 10 pieces of chicken for 5 bucks? That's only 50 cents a piece. And on Tuesdays you can get two pieces and a biscuit for a buck. I'm a big fan of the two tacos and texas cheeseburger at JITB. That'll cost you 2.29. BK has the Whopper jr. and the Rodeo cheeseburger for 2 bucks. Taco Bell's new value menu will fill you up for 2 bucks if you get a couple of value burritos. I'm not sure why anyone says JCI has good value? I've never gotten out of there without spending 5 bucks. They have a damn good hot dog, but I've always thought that 1.49 for one was pricey. They are the size of a Krystal burger.
wendy's in a landslide, brah. PS - a poll is desperately needed.... wendy's dominance must be quantified.
I just went looking at the nutritional info on wendy's website, and surprisingly, their value menu items are actually pretty practical in terms of calories/carbs, etc. I could see people eating there daily from the value menu and not packing on the pounds, unlike most places.
all the variety you need, my friend....all the variety you need. closer to your neck of the woods i'd go Purple Cow...Mexico Chiquito...or Shotgun Dan's!!!
Purple Cow is good. I have eaten at the one in L.R. a few times. Shotgun Dan's is awesome. Only been there once but I absolutely loved the pizza. Never been to Mexico Chiquito, my girl is not big on Mexican food...crazy. I forget that your wife is from AR, isn't that right Max?
I love Church's chicken but we don't have one in my city although one is slated to open later in the year. HOOORAY!!!!! It's good chicken, not as good as KFC or Popeyes but it is cheaper and for some reason the chicken pieces they use are a whole lot bigger than KFC or Popeyes and their honey-butter biscuits are awesome too.
yep, she grew up in the little suburb just outside of L.R. one of the last times we were there, bill clinton was playing the golf course right by her parents' house. i never miss a trip to those places when i'm there. shotgun dan's is seriously the best pizza i've ever had anywhere. mexico chiquito's queso is freaking great. and the purple cow makes incredible milk shakes.
good call on the wendy's super bar. used to hit the one up on shepard and I-10. I can't believe wendy's in a land slide, two tacos, jr bacon cheese, and medium drink, 3.24.
Didn't we use to have a Purple Cow back in the 70's in houston? I seem to remember it was off fondren or someplace like that. Emmmm purple ice cream.
