Burger King has the Whopper Jr!!! This alone makes up for the otherwise lackluster offering from them. Wendy's is great too though.

Wendy's kicks ass. They actually have variety and some food that actually tastes fresh! The only one near me is next to my college, though, so I haven't gone in a few months.

I will never forgive McDonalds for taking away the Cajun McChicken and phasing it out for the piece of crap known as the Spicy McChicken.

I agree. The 99 cents BK Whopper Jr. is a very good deal.

wendy's is the best, but jack in the box cuts it close with the breakfast jack.

    Wendy's. Wendy's. Wendy's.

Great value. I only order off it unless I feel like treating myself to something more expensive, like the spicy chicken sandwich.

I don't eat fast food very often, but when I do it's Whataburger.

Although, Wendy's has the best sides ever.

Remember when Whoppers used to be .99 cents and every value meal at Micky D's was 2.99? Those were the days.

Also, they need to bring back the McRib... sounds gross now that I think about it since it was imitation ribs drenched in a chemically enhanced sauce but damn, they sure did taste good growing up.

If I got cash, I go for Whataburger. If I've only got a couple of bucks, I go with either:

    1. Wendys-Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger/Double Stack, Fries, Small Frosty
    2. Taco Bell-Double Decker Taco, Cheesy Bean & Potatoe Burrito, MD Baja Blast
    3. JitB-Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Two Tacos, Spicy Chicken

Me and my now wife lived off of Wendy's and Jack in the Box back in the college days.

It was either 4 tacos from JIB for dinner, or a texas double cheeseburger and chicken nuggets from Wendy's. Good times, good times.

Oh man, I wish you hadn't said that. I haven't had a JCI dog in damn near 10 years. They need an Austin franchise, big time. They would KILL with a location near UT.

There are individual items on various value menus that are great: the Whopper Jr. at BK, the Jumbo Jack at JITB, but for sheer selection and quality of food for the dollar, you cannot beat Wendy's. I had a friend that worked there in high school, and he said that fully 75% of the restaurant's orders were from the value menu.

Wendy makes a good joke, you ask someone if they like Wendys, if they say yes, you say "When deez nuts hit your chin".

    Childish but funny.

There was one in downtown Austin at one time. It opened about 5 years ago, but was only there for about a year. Not sure why it didn't make it.
