Since the holiday season is closing in upon us and retail stores are starting to hire for the rush, I was wondering which stores (Circuit City, Foley's, etc) offer the best incentives. Obviously anywhere you go you will have to put up with annoying people, but I am asking with regards to employee discounts, wages, and amount of hours to work.

Please share knowledge and experiences about the subject. Thanks.

I was supposed to work just the Christmas season at K-Mart several years ago but I ended up getting hired as a regular employee. Wages ($5.15/hr), hours(once worked a 15 hour day), and discounts(10%) sucked.

For upper management, yes, but for assistants, it's seasonal work.

Thanks for the serious post. I forgot all about shipping companies for the holiday season.

Now, back to the Seinfeld, SNL, and crack w**** references.

Okay, what do you get when you combine Seinfeld, SNL and crack whores: A show about crack whores doing nothing, on a Saturday night.

Target pays about $6.25 an hour, that sucks don't work there.

Checking out at Circuit City, starting at $7.25 and you can apply online. I did my interview and am waiting for my call back.

    For Shure

Though bestbuy has the best discount, 5% over what they pay, I wonder what the Circuit City discount is.

I heard banks were great, you can make something like 10 dollars an hr and they have the greatest hours, close early, no sundays, hardly any of Saturday and of course holidays off.

Does anyone here know how to apply online for us lazy people, I tried jpmorgan chase site but it just confused me.
