I've been using Cyto-Gainer (Mint Chocolate) and I just finished my second container. This has worked well for me so far; the taste is by far the best protein shake I've tried. But I wanted to try something different, atleast a different flavor. Anybody have any good recommendations? (btw that GNC crap is just disgusting ) Something not too thick(refer GNC) but almost like drinking regular milk or chocolate milk. Also what do you think about other supplements? NO2 pills? or Creatine? If I'm going to pay shipping for a protein shake I want to atleast get my money's worth. I've tried a version of creatine called TRAC and it worked well. Only thing is once I came off of the cycle I was peeing yellow for a month, plus I was constantly thirsty.
You may want to post what you're looking for when drinking the stuff? Gain wait? Just protein? Lose weight? Add muscle? For just protein, I like IsoPure. Tastes ok and goes down smooth - not like wet concrete.
I'm adding mass but I'm trying to add lean muscle. I take cyto-gainer and I dont get FAT because I play ball alot(I get my cardio). But I don't think I necessarily need a "GAINER". An effective "PROTEIN" shake would be good enough. And No I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm just trying to stay cut but add maybe 10 more pounds of muscle. GNC products was just nasty. They recommended 4 HUGE scoops of that stuff and It was always extremely thick, like drinking mud. The Cyto-Gainer was much better, the recommend 4 scoops as well but the scoops are much smaller. Also I usually only use 1 and half to 2 scoops in my shake. And thats usually good enough
i don't think it's worth the price they charge for it but muscle milk is unbelievably tasty. occasionaly i'll get some, usually chocolate milk flavor, just because it's so good. as far as quality of protein, etc, i doubt it's any better than the gnc brand.
Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey Protien. Edit: I usually get my stuff online and save 50%. GNC is the biggest rip off out there. There is a place in Westhiemer and Chimminy Rock the sells quality supplement products at wholesale prices. It in a shopping center next to an asian resurant and there is a Starbucks shop on the corner. I think it might be called Wholesale Nutrition.
dr of dunk said gain wait. HAHAA. i got you sucka!@!`!11!!!!~@! "just take steroids, long as you take them correctly" I'm kinda curious to try that stuff. I need to lift weights and get my ass all musculary and hot. It sucks being a flyweight playing agaisnt heavyweights.
Isopure is the best whey protein shake. Tastes like sh*t though. Muscle Milk is the best combination of taste and efficacy.
Optimum Nutrition is the way to go. http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/protein/100-whey-protein-review.htm And it tastes just fine.
Dehydration makes you pee yellow hence also your thirstiness. As for protein powders for great results and okay taste I'd recommend Nitrotech by Muscletech. They jack up their prices for all the advertising they do but their stuff really works. As for getting rid of the nasty "ass" taste associated with most protein powders I like to add a couple ounces of orange juice and or throw some frozen berriez in there.
Hands down biotest protein shakes; try Grow! or Metabolic Drive http://www.t-nation.com/category.jsp?categoryID=34&pageNo=1&s=navStore I've tried both along with Optimum Nutrition, Muscle Milk, and many others, biotest ones taste much better. You know it tastes good when friends ask to taste it after they take one whiff of the chocolate flavor.
I agree with this. ON 100% is the best stuff out there. Tastes good and very effective. Bodybuilding.com has the best prices I've found on supplements. The chocolate flavor is great. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/whey.html
