i agree with the fact that they are stacked, i mean they have a scorer at every position, and if another top tier pg were to be playing for them, they would be just as good if not better. nevertheless, Kidd is STILL playing at a high level:

    1. leadership
    2. knows how to win
    3. great floor general
    4. simply knows how to win
    5. if i'm not mistaken, he's the only player who hasn't lost an international game.

any player in the league would want Kidd running the show, ask Kobe.

In terms of statistics, this is the average PG ranking...

    1. Chris Paul
    2. Chauncey Billups
    3. Jason Kidd
    4. Steve Nash
    5. Deron Williams
    6. Rajon Rondo
    7. Baron Davis

In terms of pacing a game, I would say that Paul, Deron, Billups, Nash and Kidd are the most mature mentally, and the guys you would want handling the ball in the 4th quarter... The highest IQ's in the league right there...

I was very impressed with Steve Blake's tempo when I was at the Clipper game the other night... Bench PG of course, but he was very impressive...

Overall? For playmaking ability? Defensively? Offensively? In any case, the answer relies on other players on the team (I don't think Yao and Nash would mesh well) and the type of offense being run uptempo or half-court.

I guess my vote would have to go to Deron Williams. He's strong, quick, great vision, better than average offensively.

Nash, CP3, Deron are all way better than him. I'm not taking anything away from Kidd as he plays his role well. But he's just not at hte same level anymore.

I would take Rondo over him if I had to pick for this season.

yes, i do realize that paul, williams, rondo and some of the other young guys are better now than kidd now perhaps, but that's not to say that kidd isn't a player anymore, completely false. kidd is a stud. he's still playing at an elite level and having more option means a better team for dallas. as much as i hate to say this, dallas is good, really good this year. right now third, but maybe the 2nd best team in the west. if they beat L.A. in the playoffs, they could win the championship. i'd love to see a Kidd vs. Rondo matchup. we'll see how much kidd's got left in the tank.

I like Tereke Evans. He's probably the best PG already, and he'll only get better. However, I'd say he's actually the best player in the PG position(not traditional PG).

Just imagine Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, Wade playing PG...

The current best is Steve Nash IMO, However John Wall will take over the top PG spot in a couple of years.....

Nash benefits from their offensive system. Paul benefits from being really the only really good player in New Orleans.

Williams seems, to me, like he could thrive in any system with any set of players. His numbers are less than Paul's simply because he has better players around him. I'll take D-Will.

Surely if you end up with more assists being the "only really good player" and less assists if you have "better players around" you the former is more preferable...

both PG's mentioned could thrive anywhere they play. they can both create open looks for others, or they can score themselves. that's what makes them the best. you can see how they are different from our 2 PG's.

almost impossible to say theyre all great, i like the trio of nash paul and williams but if i need a PG for the playoffs i HAVE to go with mr big shot chauncey billups, the guy is simply amazing in the biggest of moments no1 can argue with me against that selection, if u do i have to question ur basketball knowledge

Nash is highly overrated....basketball is not played on one side of the court and only fast paced. Kids

Dude he is lightning quick, a good passer, a good rebounder, can finish. I agree he isn't a good shooter but he is one of the top pure pg in the game. I hate the celtics by the way!
