Any suggestions for fun games to do in groups? Or activities or icebreakers...so something really silly and involving a lot of movement like running or dancing...or maybe ones that involve telling funny stories or jokes Also, favorite/best board games?
A company meet-up used this as an icebreaker. Alcohol definitely helps.. http://www.webtender.com/handbook/games/viking.game
have everyone in the group hold hands, but not with the same person. then ask them to unravel themselves to form a perfect circle without breaking. dont' know how old your group is but this a great ice breaker for high school kids. it gets everyone moving and talking. we do it every year at the annual Interactive leadership getaway.
I'm sure you've already thought about it and it's old timey, but Charades is always fun. As far as group board games, I've always been partial to Trivial Pursuit and Pictionary.
Get everybody together and play Singstar or Karaoke. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/U9_L-yFwKl4&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/U9_L-yFwKl4&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
theres this one game that my friends and i used to play a lot. its not really appropriate for professional settings, but it can be pretty funny. rules: Spoiler 1. everyone sits in a circle, with the first person who is "it" sitting in the middle 2. the person who is "it" goes up to someone in the circle and tries to make them smile by saying: "baby, if you love me, give me a smile." 3. the person who is "it" isn't allowed to touch anybody or say anything except those words, but they can act as stupid as they want. (faces, voices, embellishments, etc.) 4. the person in the circle has to reply with: "babe, you know i love you, but i just can't give you a smile" with a completely straight face. 5a. if the person says the line successfully, person who is "it" has to try again on another person 5b. if the person in the circle ends up cracking a smile, they are now "it" and switches places with the person in the middle, and the game starts over again.
