best free Anti virus

    What is the best free anti virus that i can download of the internet? now i have AVG, but for some reason i cannot update him. i'm looking for a new one, can anyone recommend one to me?:D

    I like Kaspersky too, but you only get a 30 day trial.

    You could try Clamwin. I hear it's really good.

    click on downloads

    look in the section that says most popular downloads.

    try the ms beta. works like a dream. says spyware, but blocks viruses as well.

    AVG may be the best freeware, but it's average at best in terms of catching viruses.

    Panda is good.

    Kaspersky isn't free.

    Clamwin has potential, but doesn't have a track record on Windows. If it's anything like its brethren version, it will be good, though.

    Pay for it. Get something good. Why skimp on AV software of all things? The best AV software, you have to pay for. Norton, ESET, Kaspersky, etc.

    You can continue getting free updates of Norton by just re-installing it everytime it expires... or so I've heard.

    use bit torrent and download norton AV2005...that's what i did

    :)
