Who do yall think is the best foreign player? I personally think Olajuon. But lets not be just partial to rockets...Even though i am an extreme rockets fan...This is a debate that me and my roomies r havin! Hit up the poll!
Hahaha. You should have made it best foreign player playing now. I could see MAYBE arguing Duncan, but otherwise it's clearly Hakeem. Especially on this board. Currently...Dirk, no question. ( I don't count Duncan as foreign )
Duncan was born and raised in the Caribbean...how could you not consider him foreign? i mean, steve nash is a stronger argument to being "not foreign" that Duncan. I wish Duncan played for the Virgin Islands in the Olympic qualification rounds. That would bring more competition to the table...not that USA needs it or anything.
...or Canuck for that matter? Come on...it's gotta be Hakeem in a walk so far. Duncan might be ahead come closing time, and I suppose that Dirk and Yao and Pao could, in theory, have similar careers...but as of now? And, as much as I love the guy, Steve freaking Nash!?!?
i'm simply statin that nash is more "american" than Duncan. Duncan is from the Caribbean. Nash is living in the 51st state of the United States. At least he was born on mainland North America.
i'm not putting down my country, Canada, i'm just comparing Nash and Duncan...and how you cannot call duncan a domestic american product. Nash is canadian...which is why he plays for team canada, but i was simply saying that he is more american that Duncan is. Canada and the United States are very similar. Virgin Islands and the United States are very different.
Sure Hakeem is the best foreign player in this poll. No doubt. Since Duncan has played for USA, I count him out. But the best foreign player right now, I have to say is Dirk.
that's not "basketball." basketball is knowing what a "trey" is...what a "board" is etc. what you're talking about is a players background. i did know that...just slipped my mind, so lay off a bit. still, nash is a canadian. i believe both his parents were british...which is, essentially canadian - and he grew up in canada most of his life.
Manu Ginobli!?!?!?!??! I mean, Manu freakin Ginobli!?!?!?!?!? Better than Hakeem!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I swear to God, there ought to be a law...
