I tried Pluckers off of Shepherd for lunch this past Saturday. I was not impressed at all. It's kinda sad when Krogers and Pizza Hut have better wings than a WING place.

I like Wingstop best, then BW3 - I had their JalapeƱo flavored wings last time and I really liked them. I've tried Pluckers, but I didn't really care for them. Hooters has always had marginal wings in my opinion.

Yea I went there to test them since I have heard good things and I work right down the street. I was not impressed either. Mediocre wings, EXTREMELY high priced. I will just continue going to BWW right down the street.

There is a place locally here that fries them, dips them in the sauce of your choice, then fries them again. THAT is how you do it. Double fry baby - with an ice cold beer.

I ordered the deep fried, and yes they were better than Pluckers, by far.

Recently went to Hooters for the first time in years... wings were awful and super overpriced. At least they used to be huge, but now they are puny.

It's a place in Chattanooga called Jeffersons. I'm surprised more places don't do this but I guess you'd need a dedicated refrier.

I refuse to listen to your cologne recommendations anymore!

I love Hooters' Triple Dog Dare wings. Sweet with the Bentley kick. And the size of their wings seem the same to me.

Finding that Local wing places are much better than these big names. A lot of them are too hyped up and the expectation level is never met because of that.

I was in the mood for wings this weekend but didn't wind up getting any because I couldn't think of a place I wanted to go. I skimmed this thread again and still didn't see anything worth my time.

    Any real suggestions?

Was actually going to bump this thread a couple weeks ago.

2nd time I've recommended this place in a few days (once for beef ribs), and, no, I have no affiliation with them, but:

Pappa's BBQ does some special smoky wings on weekends (unless it's only during football season). Had them at a super bowl party and they were damn good, but not spicy enough. Something different though. Unique flavor.
