Chuck Taylors are for posers that want to look cool. Once Converse started making pink Chuck Taylors for chicks to wear, it was officially over. You might as well show up in a Larry Johnson Hornets jersey and one of those $5 rubber Wal Mart basketballs.

Besides, the LAST thing for which those shoes were designed was to play basketball. No ankle support, terrible shock absorption, and not comfortable at all.

 

But perfect for aging punk rockers....

the whole strap accros the front makes it tougher to bend your foot. have you ever noticed that? its not a big difference from regular basketball shoes but it bothers my foot.

 

the KOBE's are the most comfortable shoe ever

 

I have seen TONS of people wearing these shoes at the gym. I'm seriously considering picking some up...
