It seems that everyone notices that SF does not pass the ball down enough to Yao. How bout we bench him and let mark jackson feed the ball to Yao everytime, to let steve see for himself how much a better team we can be and more efficient with our scoring...sounds too easy right?
no no no... The Rockets need to bench him to prevent him from getting injured before he gets traded this Summer...
Actually it seems that when it's Steve's job to pass it to Yao and Yao is open, Steve does pass it. Jackson often is the one who feeds it to Yao it depends on the offense they are running at the time.
And start Mark Jackson? Seriously, I know the guy can pass, but his shot will never amount close to anything any more.
Steve may be in a shooting slump but that said, he's still a better shooter than Mark Jackson (who by the way logged a massive 4 minutes in a 3OT game last night ... does that tell you anything?).
Steve passes to Yao more often than MObley. I miss Steve's attack to the basket. this will surely make things easier if he still does this with Yao and Cato on the side ready for a pass in case heattracts the defense. 4 years ago, nobody could take him when he drives to the basket unless he forced the shot against a triple team.
The man is an assist dishin machine. But also a historical artifact. 15 minutes is where he's gonna be most effective.
anyone notice how steve always passes the ball to the left or right instead of in to yao. He does this very often. And yao is posted up.
In addition to this, he stupidly passes the ball to Yao when there's a double coming to make Yao commit a turn over.
Step 1) remove Steve Hate goggles Step 2) watch Rockets games It's amazing how much of the game you'll actually be able to see...
Don't get me wrong, I love the way Steve played before Yao joined the team. Now, he is just not doing everytihing right. 1. He can't pass consistently 2. He turns the ball over frequently 3. FG % down. 4. HE intentionally MISSED A GAME FOR you know.. ( but personally I would have done the same thing ) ----------- He can't play TEAM basketball
Let's see. Steve has passed on several open shots to throw his teammates alleyoops. Steve only had 2 TO's last night. Steve did not intentionally miss a game. Steve was suspended, despite offering to take his own charter in time to make the game. I don't defend what Steve did that Sunday, but what you wrote is untrue.
I do watch the games, and I still see a confusion in the offense...It seems that Steve dribbles the ball until a man is open, then they perimeter pass for awhile, whoever is open shoots...don't get me wrong, when they are wide open shots they look good but they rely on it too much..it would be better to have run plays through Yao like we did with Hakeem..all kenny smith did was drop it down to Hakeem, Hakeem made his moves either to score or dish it back out to someone else for a 3 or better shot..
